Can Amir Khan win his first World title fight at light welterweight or will the going up a weight to light welterweight be a factor?
Don't know enough about Kotelnik to make a prediction but from what I've seen in Khan's video diary thing, I don't think going up in weight is a good idea. He said he has to put the weight on. Fighters should come down to their fighting weight, not bulk up to it. If he wasn't weight drained at 135 I can see him being even more vulnerable at 140
i'm STRONGLY pulling for kotelnik, but i think amir pulls a razor thin decision.....he may have to pick himself up off the mat to get the win.
Late TKO or comfortable UD for Khan. Watching his old videos won't tell Kotelnik much, and Roach knows that everyone's going to go for a crack on the chin so he will have prepared Khan for it. Handspeed has always been a plus point for Khan and he's definitely going to use it out there.
I dont know much about Kotelnik either I see him win against Gavin Rees but Gavin Rees is abit of a brawler easy to be hit so it didnt teach me alot about him... I heard kotelnik isnt a big puncher so maybe this is why Warren has made the fight at this weight.
Can't make a prediction as I know nothing of Kotelnik nor his fighting style, hopefully I'll get ahold of some as the fight gets closer. One thing is for sure, ANY Amir Khan fight is an exciting one.
Khan UD for me. Kotelnik is a decent fighter but I think Khan will be on his bike and he will be left swinging in the air all night. Khan will be in with quick flurries, hands back up quickly and back out of range.
Kotelnik is a slow starter. So I see Khan winning the first few rounds on workrate alone. However, in that span, I think Kotelnik will still land the cleaner shots, and Khan will have trouble penetrating his guard. In the middle rounds I expect Kotelnik to get in a groove, and begin to open up and land shots with regularity. Kotelnik isn't a big puncher, but I do think he has enough pop to KO Khan. Which is what I expect to happen in the later rounds as Kotelnik comes on and his punches take their toll on Khan.
khan was definitively weight drained at lightweight, hes gt real broad shoulders even for a light welter
Yeah you can see him going through a few divisions in his career. He might be good at this weight, time will tell.:good
