Predictions - Rigondeaux vs Cordoba

dont know who wins, but I am really excited about this one.

I dont think Rigo is nailed on as the winner, but I would put him in as slight favourite.

I think i'm just gonna remain neutral and sit back and enjoy this bout...

 

You have to make Cordoba as a live underdog, regardless of the talent that Rigondeux possesses (and its alot!) just for the large disparity in experience between the two, Cordoba has mixed it with tough comp for a long time now and he has shown 12 rounds not to be a problem plenty before.

Rigondeux will not lose a fight as long as his stamina holds up IMO. I don't think he will have to go looking for Cordoba which suits him down to the ground. If Rigondeux can do 12 rounds he'll win by a fairly comfortable decision, 117-111 or something close.

I wonder if Rigondeux really is 30, he has a face of a 40 year old!

Great support for Pac-Marg, probably looking as forward to this fight as the main event.

 

just realised I will be in Munich next weekend so will probably miss all the boxing...

I'm not sure if I should be as dissapointed as I am right now.....

 

Hope Rig wins for the sake of my stars of the future team...but...Cordoba could conceivably cause him quite a few headaches if he boxes rather than brawls like he did against Bernard Dunne.

Gotta back Rigondeaux to come through one way or the other but will have problems.

 

Rigondeaux pulls down Cordoba's shorts and literally bums him to death in the ring.

Have to go with Rigo I think Cordoba has a good style for Rigo to play with. Like Antcull says Rigos biggest problem will be his stamina if its not there for the full 12 its going to be a long night.

Can't write Cordoba off though should be a cracking fight.

 

I think Rigo will be countering him with hard shots all night long and will put him down at least twice en route to a decision or KO victory.

 

Rigo is probably the most talented boxer on the planet. I think he will get a wide ud and people will start talking about his place £4£.

 

This strikes as a very strange fight. If Cordoba was still at his best, then I couldn't imagine them throwing Rigo in against him no matter how confident they are in him, surely they'd test him in another 12 round fight before hand.

Has anybody see any of Cordoba's last 3 fights, how did he look?

 

If Cordoba fights, Rigondeaux takes him out,

If Cordoba boxes, it's anyones games as I'm yet to see what Guillermo is like when he has to do the chasing (rather, I've seen him be really good when peeps are coming at him; less so when not) but I'm going for Rigo, stoppage in about seven rounds, totally out on a limb.

Quality match-up, 50-50, brave matchmaking but one that could well pay off. GO RIGO :happy

Rigondeaux will absolutely muller him.

There is a big difference between a Bernard Dunne and a Guillermo Rigondeaux. If Dunne was hurting Cordoba, believe me Rigondeaux will take him out in a very stylish and quick manner.

 

I see Rigo making a statement and taking him out inside 3 or 4 rounds.
