Both but it depends on the chess match, for example I thought DLH PBF was an interesting game of chess **** allot of people thought it wasnt a great fight I disagree that was good **** right there.

if its an even chess match sure a mismatch chess match nah.. but the brawls come on who doesnt enjoy those

    Agreed. My favorite by far.

Oddly enough, sometimes I root for the bull, sometimes the matador. I appreciate both aspects.

What about something in between? A chess match doesn't necessarily mean both guys are slick defensive fighters. Look at DLH vs. Shane I. High skill level, lots of action.

I prefer a good chess match but can appreciate a slugfest.

Have to add, one fighter can make it into a chessmatch/clinic ala while the other tries to brawl as what Hopkins did to Cloud recently.

Being a fan of the sport you should respect both though as well as all styles and kinds of fights. Well for me maybe not Ruiz or Foreman but we all have our bias lol. Personally I usually go for skilled wars or tactical clinics but skilled counterpunchers both not afraid to throw make the best fights imho. Mccallum/Toney 1 or JMM/Marquez usually stand out in that regard.

True skill does it for me but also what doodoo said(playing around, you know I love you:smooch).

:deal One of the most overlooked aspects of the sport. That and balance.

why football/soccer is so popular is that feeling of tension throughout. and that a good game can turn on it's head and vica versa.

casamayor-marquez is a classic fight because of that.

Id say a hybrid match aka the boxer v the puncher so a chess match vs a slugfest to see who prevails

I like an action filled Chess match where its not quite a war but its a busy but strategic fight like a Tarver vs Jones I would fall into the category

    Give me a war anyday.

You put Ward vs Hopkins on PPV and it does less than 200K buys.

Put Chavez vs Froch and it'll do 500K+

People talking like they prefer chess matches wouldn't pay $75 for a **** fight.

I remembered paying for RJJ-Toney and was spellbound how good both fighters were: RJJ with his rooster moves and Toney's pocket defense.
