Premature retirings

    Besides the obvious retiring of Lewis because of Vitali, are there any other big time fighters who had to prematurely retire because there was another fighter that would beat them in a fight?

    NAZ in 02 (there were a slew of superior guys out there) and Barrera had exposed that he could not compete at the top level

    Mayweather (first retirement) The weight division was turning into Murky waters the choice of over rated over hyped but inferior skilled boxers was running thin in his divisions, there were no more guaranteed wins for him, so he bailed.
