Stoppage was correct. Povetkin didn't have anything left, he wasn't throwing much anymore and was going to be badly murdered.
Yeah, I saw that on a replay. In that case, he should have been DQ'd on the spot for getting assistance from his corner. They're not supposed to make any contact with the fighter during the round.
Definitely a legitimate and correct stoppage. Even if allowed to continue I am not sure he would have made it to his feet to beat a count, his expression said it all.. his brain was scrambled. And IF I am wrong on that and he did somehow make it to his feet.. there wasn't time enough in the round to have survived another onslaught. You really have to be wearing the biased glasses to see it any other way.
lol come on Infern0121 bro... povetkin was very hurt! He ate three kitchen sinks with those flurries from Joshua... Even if he did get up again, he would have gone down again even worse... health is important man. He's own trainer was trying to stop it at the end.
Had a feeling the potential was there for a premature stoppage tonight... but (thankfully) it failed to materialize. Tonight's stoppage was good. Povetkin was clearly finished and his corner had also seen enough.
