Dawson was swaying around and looked like he kept mumbling something. Given what happened from one shot I think it's smart to not wait for the second one, he wasn't recovering in time.

Lopez could possibly have recovered. He wasn't throwing back but he had his hands up and was moving his head trying to recover/get space to throw. It's a judgement call but I think they should have gone on.

Lopez was premature. He's a tough guy. You gota do more than land about 2 flush punches (in that particular exchange). Fighter's should be allowed to fight out of tough situations. If you just stop people when theyre hurt then a TKO shouldnt be representative of who stops whom, but rather who hurts whom, and thats lame. I understand a ref needs to take care of a fighter's health but being that's just taking it too far. There comes a certain point when you gota realise that fighter's should be allowed to really fight. These are grown men, and oftentimes warriors at heart.

Dawson looked like he had no idea where he was, and that was after just one good shot. Thank god they didn't give Stevenson another go at him.

Well he can't put the blame on anyone but themselves.

ESB NEWB LOGIC on a good stoppage IE: Dawson vs Stevenson
"good stoppage, he would have been knocked out anyway"
    "he was hurt"

90% of the time when someone goes down they are hurt
champions have been known to get clocked early, grab and hold and survive the round.
he deserved to be knocked down one more time as a champ in a title fight
odds are he wouldnt make it out the round, thats why it needs to be played out.

Lopez had clearly taken more punishment and was going to end brutally. Chad mightve been able to hold and survive

None of them. I thought both stoppages were well timed.

Dawson was gone. He was still walking funny when the referee was checking his gloves.
Lopez was a fine stoppage. He should have held or taken a knee. You can't keep taking punches and expect to get the benefit of a doubt. You either have to fight back, or drop down and get a point taken away. Sadly, I believe he could have kept going, but I would have done the same thing if I was the referee.

It was an awesome fight!!!! :D

None. Dawson didn't know where he was!
Lopez was absorbing shots and had little defence and wasn't throwing anything back
