Not really a slugger either. He likes guys in front of him, coming on to him.
He's basically an aggressive counter puncher. Its why he looked so good against Matthyse

Malignaggi is a tricky fighter unless you have an impressive arzenal, Garcia is solid at everything but not really a guy who excels except for his left hook which isn't especially ''swift'' but it packs a punch if the guy doesn't see it coming for whatever reason. Malignaggi ducking a bit too low for my liking at times.

Neither of them are impressive. Danny is slow and Paulie is very ineffective.

He does not need knock downs. The fight is close. Paulie is losing but it's still close.

Big girl throws smaller girl down, twists her arm, the other girls taps out, it's over in bout 60 seconds.

    Round 7

Malignaggi scores a nice uppercut while strafing by Garcia. Malignaggi keeps moving on his toes as even his best shots aren't making Garcia blink, while Garcia is able to occasionally jolt Malignaggi into an involuntary head-snap with even rudimentary pawing jabs. Body work still a consistent plus from Garcia, though Malignaggi is still making him miss a lot of the headhunting.

    10-9 Garcia, close

    70-63 Garcia

Spence impresses, and Imam looks to be the goods as well.

My definition probably differs from yours.

To me a slugger is a guy that doesn't want to throw that man punches, doesn't want to move around that much, and just wants to land big shots and get you out of there.

They typically have trouble with movement, but are usually great when guys come right at them.

Sluggers can still be good at counterpunching. Broner fits this profile more or less. I suppose you could say he's developing his boxing skills; however, only if you believe excessive clinching is boxing.
