Cruz is clashing with Luna on the Corona logo, both throwing uppercuts downstairs but Luna the only man following up with left hooks on the face. Cruz is getting rocked into the ropes even when blocking shots, Luna just imposing his brawn and putting explosive snap on his combos. Luna isn't terribly fast but punches in bunches, and sharply. Cruz is a bit overwhelmed but not cowed. Cruz is backed up by a jab, resets with a baby-step to his left, and falls in with an overhand - coming up short, countered. Luna is scoring jabs on the outside. Sloppy inside brawl. Arms entangled. Ref splits them after they accidentally bump heads.

Round 3

Cruz is circling away, spiraling out and to his left, rushing in with body shot flurries. Luna is catching him with flush left hooker-cuts delivered from the hip up into the face. HARD straight rights into the belt line by Luna. Cruz sticks the jab outside. Luna weaves in, scoring his own jab. Heavy right hand by Luna. Pair of left hooks by Luna. Cruz is jabbing the body, all he can really touch Luna with in flight. Overhand right by Cruz, knocked aside with a wave of Luna's arm. Big troweling right on the body by Luna.

Luna is looking good but this is only his 2nd live body faced, ever. (the 1st being Daniel Attah...coming off three consecutive losses and on a 4-13 skid...and much like Cruz here tonight, well past it)

Cruz is starting to lose his footing a bit, stiffer-legged, blundering into left hooks and getting rocked. Luna is patiently taking his time, ducking and weaving as Cruz tosses uppercuts at him on the outside, working his way in with heavy body shots.
