Collazo is a slickster. He couldn't handle Khan's speed and volume, too much coming at him too fast for him to do his usual thing.

Not sure how it's dofferent. What we saw Thurman do tonight is what Floyd does at his welterweight days.

I've been laughed at a few times when I said Maidana, Brook, Rios and Porter have a legit shot at stopping Thurman.....well anyone's opinion changed tonight.:think

I've never been very high on Thurman. I really don't get the hype about him.

Thurmans power is average vs higher end fighters and without that he runs and potshots badly and turns his back. He will not engage at the top level

Someone who can cut the ring off with power will give Thurman major problems.

Thurman looks like he is caught between styles to me, his natural instinct I believe is to fight and press the action but it looks like as he has gone up levels they are working on trying to improve his all around game, especially his defensive side and he has not got the right balance.

There will be times in Thurmans career when he will need to take a backward step and box a little but he has taken it an extreme where he just looks negative.

Down the line this all might be of benefit in a period in a big fight but he shouldn't tame his natural instincts and what made him exciting to fans in the meantime.

He managed to survive until the bell rang and the whole following round. I dont know if you have ever got a punch like that, but you need more than a minute to recover from it. Collazo could have achieved a kd hitting through thurman's elbow, once you have got that hurt, your elbow doesnt protect you very much, it hurts a lot anyway.
