I think they are safe to be doing UFC/Bellator type numbers, which is good enough. Haymon's financial long term plan is a different matter but the audience is there.

Nope I'm gonna bump it every time Haymon puts on a snooze fest like he did tonight, and eventually fails like I predicted. Just like I'm going to bump your idiotic Jennings will win thread in about 22 hrs.

I agree i think the solo ring walk is terrible. He's trying to turn into a WWE style. Also, what's up with the refs wearing a mic for bouts? I love boxing and i'll watch but PBC is just corny compared to HBO/SHO events.

Pretty good for a Friday night card.

It wasn't as good as a typical ShoBox The Next Generation or Friday Night Fights card.

You had 2 titles fights and Roberto Garcia. The Roberto Garcia fight would have been the headliner on ESPN 2

The 2 titles fights were mind numbingly dull and weren't worth watching and the Roberto Garcia fight was incredibly exciting, so you just kind of made my point for me. ESPN2 cards are better because the matches on them are usually not sleep inducing.

So while Haymon fighters may be getting those "bigger paydays" (not sure if that is even accurate these days), it is at the expense of quality opponents. Take for example Danny Garcia. He was on easy street since his loss to Herrera and there was hope in him rising to the occasion against Peterson. IMO, he lost to Peterson but is neither here or there at this moment. Same model is being used for Broner and they were using it on Chavez Jr and we know how that ended.

In short, PBC would not be alive if it wasnt for the aficionados. Even then, most of us can see right through this and know this can only last for so long.
