i have a fight in November and I am looking for some guidence on what training I should be doing. I go training 3 times a week for 2 and a half hours (Monday,Tuesday,Thursday) I was wondering what I should be doing on the other days. I am going to eat a planned diet and train hard. So what should I do on the other days (Wednesday,Friday,Saturday,Sunday)
General pad work, suicide drills, bag work, sparring and general workouts (dips, weights, kettle bells, etc)
In that case I would just do some sprints to stay active. Add some forearm work, it will help with punching power.
Speak to your coach, he knows you better than anyone here and your days away from the boxing gym should still be guided by him so your training program is in sync. IMO a fighter success is built around him and coaching staff having great team work and communication on both on and off days.
Depends your talent level. If you talented enough you don't need that much training, if you less gifted then you need to work your ass off.
