Im amazed at how far hes come along, even in loss he bashed up alvarado pretty badly and won most the rounds. I feel sorry for the lad, he was so close to winning and it just melted ïnfront of his eyes, i think amir can breath a huge sigh of relief, Prescott from last night was the best prescott iv seen in a while, im pretty sure had he won, he would have given khan massive problems with his height and reach. i wonder whats next for him 2 losses in a row now, i guess he will be taking a few more easy fights before taking on another contender. The Khan fight is seriously a none issue at this point
Prescott has become a better boxer but in no way would he give Khan a tougher night than Bradley if he boxed like that again. If Prescott was to meet Khan again he'd need to employ the same tactics as the first and go completely gung-ho and try and get Khan out of there early. Prescott-Alvorado was a super fight though, would like to see a rematch of that. :deal
Prescott is decent, he just has stamina issues, like McCloskey said the power went after 5-6 rounds, if he can get into really great shape he could make alot of noise at 140. Prescott vs Kendall Holt?
I dont know about a rematch. prescott needs to improve his conditioning before he faces some1 like that again,
Don't think his conditioning was that bad, his workrate in the first few rounds was massive and he threw tons of shots which he didn't need to as he was outboxing Alvorado in the first few rounds, he could have saved something for the later rounds. I was pretty surprised at just how fresh Alvorado was in the last couple rounds after shifting all that punishment. He was throwing shots with great power right up until the stoppage and didn't really show any fatigue.
Prescott is improving but he needs to work on his conditioning and Boxing IQ, but fights like last night will help in that department because he will only learn that fight. If I was Lou Di Bella I would give him a few 6 rounders on the undercard and then give him a fight against someone like Tim Coleman, Josesito Lopez or Ashley Theophane on ESPN/Sho Box.
