The only reason those punches seemed huge was because of the reaction they produced. We know Khan has a weak chin (as he was knocked down by unassuming shots and no power fighters), therefore his reaction is no accurate gauge of the strenght of a punch. Does that get through your head?
Get this through your head, Khan's supposed weak chin is beside the point. The main point made was anyone would've crumbled after getting hit by those bombs. Now you're saying, those shots only seemed huge because of the reaction it produced? Actually, it seemed huge to me coz I saw an object coming forward(Khan's head) and another object (Prescott's right glove) moving the opposite direction about to meet in a train-wreck type collision....followed up by a direct left on a defenseless target (again Khan's head). The reaction you talk of is the result of that....a highlight reel ko. But go ahead, put it in slomo and brush up on Newton's laws, then maybe you will understand the jist of "....anyone would've crumbled after getting hit by those 2 shots..."
Not anyone would've crumbled after getting hit by those 2 shots. A future world champion wouldn't. Khan would though, and that's why he will never be world champion. You can't have a glass jaw and become world class in boxing.
no champs with glass chins? What about roy jones junior? :rofl Khan is not a fighter, he is an athlete. He has all the intangibles other than heart and durability. I just dont think he can take the pain.
Goddamn, that was a great night. Never in all my years of being a boxing loyalist have I seen such a highly regarded prospect destroyed in such a fashion. It was quite amazing.
You're an Idiot -- Boxers take huge bombs all day and don't always get dropped like that. Khan was wobbled FROM A ****ING JAB about 5 seconds before those two punches.. SO please STFU and get off his nuts, Khan has skills but a brittle glass chin, sorry its the truth.
The fact that I pointed that out should've made it obvious enough that was my point. On the other hand, you saying that anyone would go down from two shots from an untested puncher is pure bull****. They were good shots, and if landed flush they'd likely have wobbled or even downed good fighters (though not very durable ones), but to put a fighter completely out as easily as they did shows a lack of durability, and a glass chin.
And that's pure bull****. Once again. Many fighters have taken much better shots and laughed them off.
Why do you think he has no heart? If you have a bad chin, or get caught by bombs (or both), no matter how much heart you have, you still won't be able to get up sometimes. Not saying he has a lot of heart cause I haven't seen much of him. Just asking.
Also the ones saying "no one can get up from those". How do you know that?. You can't say that just because of how powerful they looked, we really don't know how hard prescott hits, not yet.
Hahaha.....you're ridiculous. Once again, well thought out line of reasoning. (That was sarcasm, in case you missed it)
