Lara vs Darnell Boone now. Boone is a decent journeyman type and a good fit for Lara. Lara has been on ESPN 4 times this year and one of his fights was on HBO PPV as well. They've done a GREAT job getting him exposure for a new-ish fighter.

I can't figure out which thread is which... but Boone is a solid guy; I'm pretty surprised he got down this low in weight.

 

Boone has on his MC Hammer pants tonight. Boone looks "dry" as per Atlas. Lara lands a nice body punch to open things off, Boone is trying to throw ehnhe can but is going backwards. Lara lands a straight right and Boone grabs on. Boone misses a cross in his only moment of sustained offense. Lara lands a flush 1-2 that has Boone holding on temporarily. Boone is moving well so far but finds himself in the corner. Lara with a three punch combo but only one manages to land. Atlas going over the credentials of Boone as Boone gets caught with a chopping left hand. Round ends with Boone in the corner.

Tecate commercial continues to motivate people to man up and shave their tongues.

Boone lands a slick right hand as round 2 begins but Lara is fine with it. Lara is just missing with that left straight, if he lands it Boone will be put to sleep. Would love to see a hook from Lara here. Boone back in the corner but uses it to spring out of harms way. Boone and Lara going forehead to forehead as Boone lands with some good body shots. Lara covering up and showing some decent defense. Lara lunges in with a 1-2, not a fan of the lunging. Boone caught with a straight right hand and is sent wobbling back. Lara doing some decent body work. Round ends.

 

He's got decent skills. I've seen him on some local cards here and he's a solid "opponent" type fighter who can spring an upset here and there. Definitely not a guy to sleep on, that's for sure.

 

Atlas doing some random...what the **** thing. His man servant Saul makes an appearance...awkward discussion about going to the pool together.
