He seems decent he fought against Kid Diamond and got bombed out but he punches hard and is on a good winning run it could be a great fight. He based in America by the looks so he may have some good skills.

Decent enough. Maybe we will see what Prescott's chin is made of.

Shame the Valero fight never materialised.

Bit worrying he lost to Kid Diamond in one round. He's not exactly a huge bomber.

    This opponent, Ray Narth.

I need to state that he has not fought since October 2007, he seems to have a punch, but like many have stated, hes been KO'ed too. I think if anything, whoever the damn hell handles Prescott needs to get him a decent and known Lightweight or Light-Welterweight name and set up a match, David Diaz is an option, Micheal Katsidis?

This fight with Ray Narth could be interesting with both having KO power and Prescott having a pretty much untested chin and heart when it comes to digging deep, but i really think he deserves more than this, he needs better opposition, not just fights he can make money off, im not saying hes ready for a world title shot, but hes certainly ready for a step up now against a good all round and known LW or LWW opponent (since he started out as a LWW until recent fights).

Gutted about Valero/Prescott being a load of garbage by the way :(
Would have been a ''whoever lands the big one first'' match up, Valero is a wild puncher who just seems to let his hands go and Prescott being the patient one using the jab and waiting for the perfect timing to land a power punch, would have been real interesting and a test for both their chins and their willingness.

I think you underrate Valero's skills. I believe he's at least as skilled as Prescott, but you are right Prescott is much taller and longer and would have the chance to land his looping punches on the sometimes squared on southpaw.

I think Valero's a bit better personally. Seems quicker, and his power seems genuine whereas Prescott has struggled to KO his better opponents outside Khan.

Here's a little pre fight report from a while back and it mentions his loss to Kid Diamond

''The crafty, southpaw style and quick bursts of punching of Quinonez can give the less-experienced Narh problems but the veteran faces difficulties, too. Narh is exceptionally tall for a lightweight at about 6ft and he is the type who puts on pressure and throws a lot of punches, including hurtful body shots (he caved in the overmatched Donnell Logan with left hooks underneath in a previous ESPN2 appearance). In fact, the African, who is based in Pittsburgh, PA, has the sort of pressure-fighter style that can get results against a slicker but older boxer, especially when you recall the difficult fight that Quinonez had with six-footer Adrian Mora, when he had a hard time getting close to his lanky opponent and ended up losing narrowly (one of those split decisions that went against him). However, Quinonez’s most recent win was over a previously unbeaten boxer from Ghana, James Armah, which might be a good omen.

I tend to disregard Narh’s only loss, when he got knocked out in one round by the heavy-handed Almazbek Raiymkulov, because the Ghanaian was winning the round with a high volume of punches until he suddenly got beaten to the punch by a big right hand, and that was it, down and out. These things can happen, and of course there is no way that Narh will get knocked out by one punch in the fight with Quinonez.

Quinonez’s great experience against a much higher standard of opposition than Narh has faced might be the key factor in the fight because the veteran has seen it all before whereas Narh is stepping up to another level. I think that Narh will be highly competitive but I have a feeling that Quinonez will be able to outmanoeuvre him, get him a bit confused with his clever moves and win a tough fight on points.''

They describe him like a lightweight version of Paul Williams!

I still worry if he got KO'd by Kid Diamond in a round. They describe him has a huge puncher..but he isn't. Not really. He was probably just overmatched too early.

    I agree.

By looks of his record he's been dispatching common opponents on contenders records and doing it in equal time so he has shown that he's above that level now's for the big test is he a real contender or a fringe campaigner that will in future be used as a stepping stone fight to bigger things for prospects.

By looks of his weight he fluctuates between 134 and 140 but since 2006 he seems to have shown consistent punch power. Narh was planned to be in a IBF eliminator so he has sights set high so Presscott will have work cut out by the looks. If anything Narh's powers been more consistent then Prescotts of late but that may be to do with Prescott fighting more live opponenets.

I'd love to see that. The lightweight division may of lost it's stars recently but these lads will serve up some fantastic fights in this division.

He's fighting for the vacant IBF title on the undercard of Darchinyan-Agbeko.
