Margarito vs Maidana or Ortiz would have been great.

 

We all know that static mexican sluggers are a stylistic nightmare for floyd.

 

A reason? Yes the reason is this:

Do you fight Baldomir, zero risk, for the LINEAL championship and the storied WBC green belt to boot...

or do you fight Margarito, low (but non-zero) risk, for the WBO trinket...which in 2006 was considered as worthy as your average crackerjack box prize. On top of which, Margarito's best victory in that run (Clottey) wouldn't even come until a month after Mayweather vs. Baldomir happened...

Literally anyone in history would've chosen A over B. Not just Floyd.

 

I think Margo easily beats both.

 

Ortiz yes although he might have a few rocky moments early on as Ortiz could punch. Maidana - I'm not so sure. Chino can punch himself and his will was unquestionable. Margo would have found him tough going IMO.

 

Maidana was hurt by old fat Morales and was taken into deep waters by shot Soto-Karass and Josesito. He was also almost folded in half by Khan and badly hurt by Broner.

 

I'm so tired of seeing the same old story " Floyd ducked Margarito". It seems to be the endless argument and BS. Boxing medias once cited Margarito to be "The Most Feared Man In Boxing." Was he?

Margarito was a crude boxer at best. Maidana had actual skills.
Maidana baited out Floyd's counter right with his jab, and then nearly put him on his ass. Margarito never showed anything like that.

You are so correct. Unfortunately those who think Margarito or Margacheato could beat Floyd are deluded, brainless and as Uncle Roger Mayweather of blessed memory would say “you all don’t know **** about boxing”. The evidence about Margarito is out there just play the videos of his defeats.

 

Imagine being so delusional you're convinced a flat footed easy to hit volume punching Mexican could accomplish what half a dozen similar boxers couldn't who were even faster and more skilled.

 

No one thought Maidana could beat Floyd. At the very worst, Maidana took Floyd deep. Even Floyd knew he lost the first fight.

 

No he did not he won the fight. Losing a few early rounds does not mean he lost the fight. Educate yourself.

 

Maidana couldnt beat pbf in two tries. Funny maiadana gave pbf a harder fight than pac did though lol.
