To consistently tire their opposition out from sheer workrate, guts and pressure. We all know the likes of Joe Frazier and Rocky Marciano never stopped coming, wearing their opponents down. Wayne McCullough comes to mind. Supposedly Erik Morales, despite being one of the gutsiest fighters ever, was close to quitting late into their fight from exhaustion. Not sure how true that is or isn't. He definitely tired Naseem Hamed out with pressure as well, he swept the first four rounds or so and then McCullough started to have more success as the fight went on. So, who else?
Peter "de Aap" Müller, German mw in the 50s. He was no great fighter but a solid one, had even some fights in the US beating Joe Miceli and Joey Giardello, but also lost to him. He was always in the shadow of Gustav "Bubi" Scholz who beat him 3 times out of three, Papp did the same btw. Pressure fighter with a crouching style, very unusual for a German fighter. He was a big draw, especially in his hometown Cologne. He was also known for his ring antics, great showboater. One time he knocked out the referee because he wouldn´t let him crouch - later it became known that the ref was the father of his opponent.
