to beat Floyd? I've seen people with this idea. What is the way to get a W against him then if pressuring isn't the way to go?:think
Intelligent pressure is the key if your an orthodox fighter. If you have a good reach and speed, like a prime De La Hoya, you can have success on the outside with a jab, feints, and combinations. Body work is key. A southpaw will have a much easier time against Floyd.
Floyd is best at reading his opponents. Manny is probably the best at being unpredictable so it's just not the walkem down type of pressure like a Margarito would. Manny is smaller than Floyd so he would get outjabbed. His type of pressure is more like an Alexis Arguello type where he's not only walking you down, but he can cut the ring off on you at any moment and will use angles on you, like he did with Cotto. So pressure is just part of the key.
Pressure won't beat mayweather...You are going to have to be disciplined enough to make him come out of his shell....Mayweather eats pressure up...
To beat Floyd you have to rely on the jab and effective body work. Precise delivery is essential. If you can't make Floyd pay on the inside you have no chance of winning. I honestly don't think anybody other than Shane can beat him. I am a little over 50% on this too.
I highly doubt that. Stylistically Shane doesn't have the tools to beat Floyd. Physically he does though, so there's a chance. Pacquiao is a quick handed, fleet footed, high workrate southpaw with knockout power in both hands. That's a nightmare for Floyd. Watch the Judah fight and tell me he'll have an easy time with Pacquiao.
Pacquiao would send Mayweather to the canvas with the right hook everytime Floyd attempts to do that leaping left hook on Manny.
I see Shane as a more difficult opponent for Pacquiou than Floyd would be, but I'm not sure who would be more difficult for floyd between Shane and Pac. Well timed aggressiveness+ Nazim Richardson(Mosley) or an onslaught of punches(Pac)? Idk.
He wouldn't even use it Boom_Boom. That punch is ineffective on a southpaw, he never uses it on southpaws. This is where people make an error when analyzing the fight. This isn't Floyd vs. Hatton. Fighting a southpaw changes the dynamics of a fight completely.
