toney vs. williams kalambay vs. dewitt - best uppercut KO i've seen aside from saad-mwale randall vs. fuentes
I'll say it again; Ike Williams KO1 Jose Gatica. Left hook; down. Gets up... Left hook; down. Gets up... Right uppercut, two left hooks and a straight right, all in one smooth, quick combination, all punches landing bang on the mark. It really is the best knockout I've ever seen. Robinson-Graziano takes some beating though.
One of the dumbest fights ever made. I got a free ticket but knew well it was a sham to begin with. An immensely talented, near peak, fairly natural lightheavy versus a past-it, roided, injured, undertalented, over-rated lightweight. Who ever bought a ticket to this fight or the PPV should never be allowed to watch the sport again.
I don't think even Jones was that keen on the fight being made from memory and it proved to be the mismatch everyone except Paz thought it would be. Still the final knockdown is an impressive example of Jones's speed, unorthodoxy and power.
I always loved how Tyson got in position here, shifting and rotating his body to the left, avoiding the impact of Ruddock's right, (it looks like Ruddock may have still landed it but it wasn't that clean) and getting leverage to land the left hook. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oCttLWZVjz0#t=1m38s This time, Tyson did a similar move but it was to avoid the jab. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r6WX4becZSg#t=8m40s Roy's speed on this is just insane. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VRt8LHSB7wM#t=28s
nice vids. tyson landed loads of great shots like that throughout his career. another one i forgot, about 30 seconds in [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=saMRjPb6j0Q[/ame] emm was such an elegant technician at his prime
Well since I was watching some Azumah Nelson fights today, here is a couple: Nelson vs Cowdell...real time 6:20 slow mo 7:50 [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pgXJgSJu_rQ[/ame] Nelson vs Gomez...the final one around 8:40 [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t4O6Zi7xhR8[/ame] and one of my all time fav's around 2:40 [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tBlGxqquQvI[/ame]
I liked Michael Nunn KO of Sumbu Kalambay for some reason Michael Spinks' left uppercut of Marvin Johnson Hearns' right hand on Manos de Piedra
Rocky Lockridge's KD on Tony The Tiger...this fight made me a Lopez fan! 5:15 in real time 7:00 for slow mo....don't know how Lopez got back up! [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2zrnc2Kuq3E[/ame]
