Mayweather by UD. First 6 rounds would be close, but Mayweather dominant the last 6 rounds.

In other words, you've given up on the 'JMM outboxed Casamayor' angle.

    Smart move :good

I'M just saying let the men talk boxing...
But i am def. down to continue talking about how your man got outboxed, broken down, and stopped. Your call.

Shall we be realistic for a moment?

Casamayor is one of the most celebrated and accomplished amateur boxers ever. He's an Olympic Gold medalist. And yeah, we all know that pro boxing is different to the amateurs. But that kind of accomplishment suggests that he has a very high level of technical skill & natural ability.

In his prime Casa was (and is) a very arkward southpaw. He had power in both hands, brilliant footwork, a very good chin, a strong jab and bags of speed.

When we talk about getting 'outboxed', what we are doing is using a term that is slightly less extreme & harsh than 'schooled'. So the idea that someone like Casa, with such exemplary fundamental boxing skills & attributes, could get 'schooled' or 'outboxed' by anyone is a misnomer - it just won't happen. You could put him in with any lightweight in history and it still wouldn't happen.

Floyd, great fighter that he is, would have all kinds of trouble with Casamayor. It would be tactical battle, it would be about who uses the space better, and who lands cleanly and gets-in-and-out fast enough without getting hit...

And with that in mind, there is no way Floyd is coming out of this unscathed. Every time Jr. launches the right, Casa will be countering with that devastating left hook that he flawed Corrales with. And vice-a-versa. So I maintain, a close fight, a split decision, that could go either way.

I love Chico Corrales, don't get me wrong, but he didn't have the greatest chin. The shot's Casa dropped Chico with were good shots, but Floyd eats punches much better. Casa would have never dropped Floyd with those shots. He may not even have landed cleanly. However Casa was dropped by Daniel Seda. Enough said:lol:

There is a slew of Olympians who did **** all in the professional ranks. While it makes for nice icing on a career, it doesn't factor into arguments of head to head fights.

First thing we need to clear up is your putting your own definition on OUTBOXED just means you got beat or surpassed. You are correct that no one is schooling Casita in a boxing match. He is a student of the game.

But Floyd could surpass him and beat him. very possible.

You speak of Casita's AM background, and you are right. It's the ams plus his pro career that make him a Hall of famer imo.

But Floyd is no slouch, The first American to beat a Cuban in the olympic games in 20 years. And He should have won that Gold.

Make a long story short, Floyd is just as educated as Casamayor with better god given talent and reflexes. Floyd is also the bigger fighter.

I agree with the 73% of people who took this poll, PBF takes this... PBF 12-UD

Really all you have to do is look at and compare their fights with Corrales and it becomes clear who the better boxer is.

Ok, so every fighter who lost a boxing match ever, was 'outboxed'.

Mate, you obviously don't have a clue and you're just embarassing yourself pretending like you do.

I'm always amused when noobs, such as yourself, wade into a thread, make bold and unsubstantiated assertions. Then throw around a few boxing terms they obviously don't understand, before regurgitating what someone else said, and try to pass it off as their own opinion.

Your 'definition' of being 'outboxed' originally seemed to be 'whoever lost the fight, got outboxed'. And now that you've seen the fallacy of that statement, you've changed your tune and come back with the idea that it's 'whoever was out landed'...

So (for example) Calzaghe 'outboxed' Hopkins did he?

Hopkins stayed outside, dictated the pace of the fight, landed the more clean and effective punches, yet by your own (new, almost as lame) definition he was 'outboxed', I've already informed you what the term 'outboxed' means, and how it can be interpreted or applied. Perhaps you should just take that onboard and stop acting like a menstruating little *****?

As for this 'I'm more intelligent than you' angle that you're working. Throwing around a few three syllable words from your GCSE English class, and making an extra effort to punctuate your post, doesn't make you intelligent. It just makes you look like a pompous moron who is covering the huge gaps in his boxing knowledge by trying and failing to (hilariously) claim the intellectual high ground.
