My point is that its a telling fact that Camacho couldn't be KO'd by these big welters and the guy has fought above 160 without being KO'd. Floyd at 130 was just a beast puncher at 130. The likes of Corrales and Manfredy wouldn't be hard to KO by Oscar, Tito, or even JCC. Corales was almost stopped by Clottey. Taking punches from 130lbers and taking punches from 147lbers are different and Camacho's chin carried him through much higher weights. Even if Floyd hadn't injured his hands, he still wouldn't be KOing 147ers the way DLH and Trinidad did when he decided to move up. So the hurt Camacho theory is out of the way and I can't see him stopping Camacho with accumlation because at 130, Camacho wasn't exactly easy to hit neither and he did have power also. Again Floyd outboxes him maybe easy but Floyd ain't taking Camacho out at 130 if nobody could at 160.

Name one fighter Floyd has stopped that was never stopped before or after he stopped him? Name one prime fighter Floyd has stopped, who couldn't be stopped at a higher weight? Camacho fits this description.

I'll take Mayweather to win a decision.

Camacho's speed advantage would see him win the majority of the first 4-5 rounds, but once Floyd worked him out a little bit and realized he was behind, he'd start catching Camacho more from the outside, then winning the exchanges on the inside as well whenever they got close. Camacho had a great chin, but whereas he could absorb punches very well he still could get discouraged just from taking shots. The more powerful, aggressive Floyd of his 130 days most definitely wouldn't have the firepower necessary to badly hurt or stop Hector, but I think he could make Hector wary of getting tagged and ensure he wins most of the later rounds.

I'll say Floyd by a scoreline like 115-113. Maybe it would end up an MD or even an SD, but I'd back him to pull it off more often than not.

I still think it's an interesting fight. I can picture it not being the snoozefest some might think but a compelling bout. 130 Camacho...and 130 Mayweather for that matter are different animals than their later versions.

Listen, i'm not getting into this because it's a fantasy fight and there's no merit in conviction. Which top ten opponent did douglas stop before or after tyson? Doesn't change the fact of the fight.

Someone going in to defend is less likely to get knocked out. I don't think at 130 macho would have been as negative as he was at a higher weight.

As I said, i'd stick a fiver on floyd tko. Worst case scenario, i'm a fiver down, I think I can handle that.

    A fiver?

    What a *****.

I'd put a title deed on it going the rounds.

    Yeah a fiver tops :)

And don't tell lies, it isn't becoming. If the fight would have got made you'd not put boy title deeds anywhere :)

Thing is though, Camacho was extremely defensive when he got caught and hurt. He was more than happy to go into his shell after that and last the duration. And I'm assuming you're not picking Mayweather to flat-out KO him, therefore at some point, for you, he'd have to rock him at least a bit, in which case Macho wouldn't stick around to get rocked anymore.

    Smart money says Floyd UD.

Camacho was a helluva boxer and really fun to watch back in the late 80's but Floyd was an ATG in that weight class. He was much more offensive-friendly and packed some power in both hands at the lighter weights. Would've been a classic to watch.
