    Besides Cotto
    maybe a fade Mosley
    Margarito

who else is there to fight everyone else up and coming doesn't stand a chance.

I think Cotto might take himself out the picture with a loss to Margarito or a madatory shot (if he beats Margarito) with Joshua Clottey.

For the record Cintron is garbage and he hasn't beaten anyone -- I think the loss to Margarito is in the back of his mind and he will be once again reminded of that night when they meet again.

Well give reasons as to why you think that. I gave surefire analysis at least 10 times. What advantages does Floyd have that would play a factor in this fight? While Floyd has to adapt to many styles, Whitaker never did, even against someone like Chavez. He played his game from the opening bell, which would certainly give him early rounds against Floyd. I don't see how anyone can even disagree with that, considering that Floyd always takes a few rounds to adapt. Even when he does start to adapt, he stll holds no advantages against a fighter like Pea.

In my opinion, Mayweather is most dangerous when on defense. I think he would let Whitaker start off as the aggressor while being in counter mode. Most of his fights he's dominanted, his opponent started as the aggressor. Now if he's the one who's coming out as the aggressor, I can see him maybe losing, but still not 8-4

If Mayweather beat DLH, Cotto, Margarito, and Mosley ... people are going to come up with more excuses. Oh Mosley & DLH were faded, Cotto and Margarito just weren't on his level. This guy can't win in my opinion, he's always going to get criticized no matter what because every time he wins the bar gets raised higher and higher.

I 'm changing my pick on sweet pea v pretty boy -- i'm going with mayweather decision.

He's just far more advanced than sweet pea ... he has did something that sweet pea hasn't done. He didn't remain undefeated after his first 10 years and after 12 years (despite the controversy) he had a loss and a draw.

There has never been a dispute in any of PBF fights -- he's never came close to losing a fight. Hasn't been knocked down (legit) and hasn't had anything more than a bloody lip.

The same goes when you compare him to SRL and Hearns ... these guys faced set backs which made fans adore them more, but this guy has yet to face any kinda adversity. He's always on the top of his game and doesn't take any opponent lightly. (unlike Leonard v Duran I and Hearns v everyone he's fought)

He's by far the most focused and most discipline fighter of all-times. He doesn't create any doubt to who was the victor after his fights.

I see his defense a bit better than Pernell's and I see his punching accuracy better too. Add to that, he's taller and has a bigger frame.

Until he loses I'll have to hold him atop of alot of guys past or present.

But Mayweather hasn't fought a fighter as disciplined, or with the body work, or with the jab, or with the activity level of Pea.

These traits make it very difficult for him to lay back and counter. Pea would pile up four or five rounds and then Mayweather would be on the offensive trying to pile up points against a ghost.

With Pea's activity level, Mayweather would have to work the whole fight. Its not a good stylistic matchup for him either way it goes. I haven't read the thread, but my opinion on this fight never changes- Pea by comfortable decision.

By the way- where do you find these girls in your avatars? :bart

This post is flat wrong on many points.

Mayweather more advanced? No. Tell me why, besides what you have argued here which is record- this can be easily cross referenced to competition level and explained as such.

And please, don't compare SRL and Hearns to PBF and say PBF hasn't faced adversity while those to did. Again, look at the era in which they fought.

Floyd doesnt have better defense that Pea. Again, explain how if you are going to make this type of arguement. I have the defense of Pea, Pep, Benitez, and Locche above his. There may be others that I haven't seen yet who I would rank above him also. He is incredible with his defense but dont get carried away.

And he isn't more accurate. Pea had the better jab, Mayweather the better right hand (as compared to Pea's straight left) IMO. But Pea was a better, more accurate body puncher and his accuracy as a whole was incredible considering his activity level.

Floyd doesn't waste punches and he very accurate - that leads me to believe that when he does punch he will land. I don't see him flailing away at sweet pea like a desperate fighter.

Don't think that Floyd won't come bringing his "A" game....

You also have to factor in the drug problems that sweetpea had.

Only thing sweat pea's activity level will do is cause him to tire out because like I said before Floyd is doesn't waste punches and when he does punch he makes sure he's landing. So that one punch at a time will catch up to sweat pea's active output.

People dont have to go after Pea "flailing away" for him to make them miss.

Of course he would, why would he not?

    Why exactly?

When did Pea ever show tiredness during a fight in his prime due to punch output? Floyd may not "waste" punches but he would be made to miss much more than he is used to. Therebye causing him to "waste" more punches.

Floyd would get outworked during the fight and would fined it harder to land due to Pea's southpaw jab being thrown at him hundreds of times in the fight, :good.

No. Floyd has never hit a target like Pea (and you could argue vice-versa). But the difference is a stylistic one. Pea invested more to the body, and was the more active fighter with the better jab. This improves his chances of landing.

Given these two factors, Pea's style would be more effective against PBF's defense than PBF's against Pea's.

Please keep my post in context. I never said Floyd would be the desperate fighter. What I said was that if he fought defensively for the first round of the fight, and strictly counterpunched, he would find himself behind on the cards.

And your arguement that Pea will tire out... Pea had that kind of activity level because he could. So what does that suggest about him tiring out.

People don't even talk about PBF's body punching -- it usually goes unannounced. He hit Hatton, DLH, Judah, and Mitchell effectively to the body. All commentators could talk about was the right hand and the left hook.

Its even as hell on paper...

I think with Mayweather being taller he would have the advantage on the Sweet Pea's jab, he will block those with the right hand and block the body punches with rolling his body to lessen the effect.

Right hands will come into play considering Sweet Pea has been hit effectively with the right hand. He got his jaw broke against Tito with the right. JCC used the right effectively ...

He did some great body work on Bruseles, N'Dou, Corrales, and Augustus as well.
