I think Floyd throws the right better than Tito, JCC, and DLH ... fighters who gave Sweet Pea trouble and made the fights they had with him in their favor.

My vote is for Mayweather. As opposed to some, I don't see Sweet Pea as being better than Mayweather at anything. They are both equally good defensively, but certainly very different stylistically. Neither has the edge in speed or stamina. But, Mayweather clearly has the edge in power. Pea will not be able to get off tons of combo shots without being concerned about getting countered... and countered with more power as Mayweather can definitely hit him with some pop (not crushing power, but certainly stun-you-up-and-keep-you-honest power).

Mayweather will become the stalker in this fight, and he does that very well. Unlike other fighters Pea has faced, he won't be able to easily slip Mayweather's hard lightning fast shots. Not to mention Floyd has better reach and can catch Pea coming in.

I'd never say that Pea would get KOed cause the man damn good, so I'll say a UD for Mayweather. Early rounds going to Pea while the later rounds will be all Floyd.

People do talk about Mayweather's body punching. Its simply not as effective as Pea's, and not as consistant for whatever reason.

Mayweather is very effective, and consistent with his bodywork. I'm not sure if he was more consistent or effective as Pea, I'd have to look at some his fights again.

Not as effective? Mayweather's body work leads to KOs. That's the most effective you can get.

Very little action in that fight - a pick 'em fight.. Depends on what style the judges like i guess as they will probably be very close. If i have to give an edge it would be too Whitaker though as it more obvious that he doesn't get hit while it could look like PBF was getting hit, even though he was not.

Pea doesn't do anything better than Floyd? How about punch output? Would you at least give him that? How about a better jab?

Pea could fight off the back foot all night long. Mayweather stalking him certainly doesn't make me as nervous as a fighter like JCC stalking him. He was a master off the back foot.

And Mayweather's power is not going to hurt Pea, please. Do I need to run down the list of fighters Pea has fought?

Good point. Alot of fighters get blasted with straight rights, and left hooks against Mayweather because they're looking for that body shot.

That has very little to do with Mayweather's ability to hurt him.

How about this, a massive punching WW in Tito hit Pea with everything but the kitchen skin and never badly hurt him. So it is unlikly that Floyd would at either 135 or 147 at his best.

Yes, Pea throws more punches... Mayweather has great accuracy. I'd still call that a wash. But, yes he does throw more than Mayweather.

Fighting off the backfoot also diminishes power. How do you keep a fast fighter like Mayweather off of you without that? You really can't.

Folks said the same thing regarding Hatton. Look how that turned out.

Zoo, would is herald as an awesome power puncher, couldn't stop Hatton. Mayweather put Hatton on his back.

It's the ones you don't see...

Mayweather is much quicker than Tito, more accurate, and has better timing. He can also effectively lead with more punches, and is more effective with both hands. As a result, I would be easier for Floyd to hit Pea with a power punch that he isn't expecting, or while he's off balance. When you get hit with punches you don't expect, or while you're off balance, you greatly increase your chances of going down.

Mayweather is not a pressure fighter never was and would not be against Pea.

Please do not compair Pernell Whitaker to Ricky Hatton in an effort to improve your argument, it does not look good :good
