Pretty Boy Floyd was nothing to play with.

He could beat him. The Zab who was still undefeated. Fast, quick, confident, quite explosive, high killer instinct, and not yet exposed, hence no data yet to exploit. And the PBF was not as safety-first as the Money May, so more chances to be hit or look good.

Well, Floyd hadn't yet even moved up to 135 when that guy was around.

I'd still favor Mayweather even if he'd jumped up ten pounds to box Zab in 2001, but I suppose it's an interesting one to think about.

Whether you like Floyd or not, you HAVE to respect his skills and dedication. Especially prime FMJ!

Earlier this year, Amir Khan said he would have beaten Floyd, prime for prime.

Floyd would have spanked Khan at 140. Just completely different levels.

His impact on the sport was far more negative than positive. He’s better off forgotten.

Yeah, but one gotta feel for Pac. The fight took so long to get made. I can see Pac not wanting the fans to wait any longer.

That was the reason he didn't postpone his match, saw Buboy saying that in the interview.

Short of broken or cracked bones, there was no canceling that match. Pacquiao-Mayweather was bigger than even any Super Bowl in terms of hype. It had taken Floyd 5 years plus Pac being KO'd to finally take the fight. Almost every single hotel room and flights surrounding that date was booked. McCarran Airport hosted the most private planes in their history around that date and it caused massive runway issues. Completely unique beast of a sporting event that we will never see again. I don't think a single event ticket was actually ever released to the public. All secondary and resale.

You beat me too it, was going to post similar things regarding the Hotels, flights & all surrounding the fight,

That's why Roach & Bob encouraged Pacquiao & his Team further to halt serious training as he was already taking his injections for his shoulder during sparring, then until three weeks left before the fight he sent all his sparring partners home early as it was causing him further pain & was advised to just let it heal as much as possible before the fight by stopping all sparring,

Not the way you want to go about when your about to fight in one of your most biggest fight that's for sure,

Floyd's spy's had already leaked it out to Leonard & himself of Manny's shoulder being messed up & there's videos out there exposing such events, where i bet in hindsight Leotard might have some regrets speaking about as nowadays he has been seen on Twitter completely back tracking by implying that he & Floyd had no idea that Pacquiao had an injury whatsoever,

Here's one Sparring partner confirming his injury as i also remember there being reports about Pacquiao having missed sparring around Boxing Scene,

"Dashon Johnson, one of Pacquiao’s sparring partners during his seven-week training camp, said in a Facebook post that Pacquiao got hurt in training and “it was messed up pretty bad.”

He added that Pacquiao’s injury was “so bad his sparring partners including myself were asked to go home a few weeks out before the actual fight.”

“Manny, no matter what, wasn’t going to let his family, fans and friends down by postponing the fight so he was gonna just fight for through the pain!” Johnson also said in the lengthy post."

“I take my hat off to him because even faced with the adversity he had going into this fight, in my mind he had the better action moments in the fight and still tried to engage with a messed up shoulder and still went 12 rounds with the greatest fighter in the world today!”
