im actually shocked that people think we have a fight between them golovkin is a big strong middleweight im certain he will not come down more then 2-3 pounds he will probably be super middleweight pretty soon... guys we dont have a fight...we have weight classes for a reason didnt floyed state after the canelo fight that he was around 150 on the night?
Wouldn't be surprised if Mayweather pulled it off, the weight is really the only challenge. Stylewise GGG is the usual Mayweather opponent, only real interest is that GGGs a MW.
Floyd wins before it even begins. If it was a bicycle race, under his terms, Floyd gets an aluminum framed lightweight road bike with diamonds and rubies on his spokes while he demands Golovkin has to use a Big Wheel He-Man tricycle.
Triple G is too big and too strong for Floyd. Mayweather is up there with Sugar Ray Leonard in greatness and legacy but GGG is a bridge too far.
The OP is a little bit zuruckgeblieben. Golovkin makes other strong men crumble when he touches them. Whaddaya think would happen to small fry? Exactly.Small fry gets ground to pink fairy dust.
I'd favor gennady to beat him at 160. But I honestly wouldn't be surprised in the least bit if mayweather beat him in a decision. Him bein too powerful is a moot point since everyone is stronger than mayweather. It would be the first time gennady had to deal with someone who's constantly in perpetual motion and will not be some inanimate, stationary target for gennady to just beat up on. Also, Floyd is arguably the fastest man at 147lbs, the speed difference against a veritable middleweight would be astounding. There's this old saying that speed kills, and that possibly could happen here. But I think Floyd would have to find a way to keep gennady honest, which I don't know if he'd be able to. People have mentioned that Duran went up to 160 from 130 lbs and expect Floyd to do the same thing but Iran Barkley is NOT gennady golovkin. Id favor gennady at 160, but at 154 I'd imagine it could be closer. All I know is if Floyd did sign up to fight him, that he must see something stylistically that he feels he'd be able to capitalize on. Now with all that being said, mayweather is really a junior welterweight and is getting very close to his 40th birthday. He should just stay retired and enjoy his life.
