Calzaghe beat Hopkins. Calling it a split decision was being gracious for Hopkins.

What a silly thread. Im not a Floyd fan but even though the fight was close I still had him winning by 2 rds. It seems that people always bring up the one thing that even resembles a blemish on his record.

They totally disregard that he cleaned out most of the 130 and 135 lb divisions, beating guys like Genaro Hernandez, Jesus Chavez, Angel Manfredy, Diego Corrales and JL Castillo along the way, before moving up to 140 and 147..

It was onesided fight, Castillo beat the crap out of Mayweather in their first fight, rematch was ordered. It was a shame that the judges were so damned biased.

    No, lil Floyd.

It's YOU who needs to deal with the issue.

I don't like Floyd. But I give him his dues.

He's the best in the world and has been for most of this decade.

He erased the question mark in the rematch with Castillo, winning decisively. (Apparently he had the flu during the original match-up).

But he was lucky to get the decision in the first fight as Castillo clearly won more rounds.

Robbery is too strong of a word, but lil floyd did not deserve the decision.

I saw that fight and to be honest, I thought Floyd eeked by. He was a better fighter than Castillo and proved it in the next fight.

no, scoring is subjective..I could be bias since i'm a floyd fan but ask others either way some thought floyd won too. It was a close fight and floyd had trouble(considering also it was his first fight at 135). Its close in the same way like pac-jmm 2. I do agree with you though robbery is a strong word, if jlc got the decision some people would say he was lucky too.

It was a close fight. At the top level there will always be close fights. If it goes to the judges there's always going to be a contentious decision every now and then where close fights are concerned. I'm hardly Floyd's biggest fan but even I thought he won it.

There are other recent fights out there with far more contentious results than that one, IMO (*cough* Pac JMM II *cough*), but even so it's not always that clear.
