Truth hurts doesn't it? It doesn't matter what sport, if an Englishman does fairly decent and is making waves in America, the entire island jumps on the bandwagon, tea-cup in hand, and takes on the persona of an "elitest" of the regarded sport. Truth is, you ask half those knarly-teethed fools any general boxing trivia and they're clueless. It's like the American frat boy to UFC.
yes it was us who had major black civil rights problems, and murdered people who tried to resolve them like MLK and Bobby Kennedy.Plus low education standards and opportunities for black americans.idiot.
The word Chav has been used for ever in South London - it means 'child'. Yoiur kids would be the chavvies.( the Vs sound more like Bs ) It's a travellers/Gypsy word. It was hi-jacked by the media.
Does this not happen in every country? Nothing wrong with having national icons. I for one think it's great that Hatton is opening up boxing to the masses over here, people getting interesting in a sport that could be said to be falling away from the frontpages since the 90's. People like Khan, Calzaghe, and Hatton are opening up the sport to UK based fans again and I think that's great. If 10,000+ fans want to travel abroad to support Hatton in a mammoth task then I think that is something to be proud of. Hatton was attracting 20,000+ fans here in the UK before he even made a 'ripple' over in the States never mind waves. Cup of tea? I think Coffee is now drunk more than tea over here now...but you can stick to your cosy little stereotypes. :hi::hi::hi:
