Had Khan not lost to Peterson, I'm pretty sure he would have been right there next to Cotto when Mayweather's team were making their decision for May 5th.

Thank goodness he did lose, then.

Cotto may not have great chance against Mayweather, but Khan has a worse one.

Khan is the 3rd biggest draw in boxing after Floyd and Pac. This fight is big $.

Would be far more competitive than Mayweather-Cotto

  7. Actually... and this is also without a source... Khan has yet to be involved in a major PPV main event, and thus cannot be considered a "bigger draw" than Cotto... who's PPVs have been performing well since 2006.

Where the hell did you get your estimation there buddy :huh

After Floyd and Pac he has the most fans on facebook and most followers on Twitter of any boxer, id say thats a pretty fair representation of his fanbase compared to others. Double what Cotto has on the social networking sites.

He's massive in the Islamic world :good

Who would you say is bigger?

If this happens, Khan will be lucky to hit Floyd with a clean shot over four or five times through the course of the fight.

I don't envision Khan either dominating impressively on the cards or scoring an exciting stoppage win against Peterson, which, imo, are the only ways that he could earn a potential bout against Floyd. That said, it comes as no surprise that he's reportedly being positioned as Floyd's next opponent.

    Floyd-Pac next or futility.

  14. I would still say Cotto is bigger, k. Khan's Facebook numbers have yet to translate into PPV sales, and if GBP thought they would... don't you think he would be headlining those cards by now?

No sir, those main event PPV cards are reserved for TOP DRAW fighters: Mayweather, Pacquiao, Cotto.
