Well in Fury vs McDermott I. Fury failed to make his jab pay it was a flick and it allowed John to close range and work to body with quick short bursts before holding on inside and then reseting to range where he would stay on outside and wait to quickly breeze past the sloppy jab of Fury and Price's jab in all his fights i seen so far has been relatively poor and if he doesn't get the jab full extended and with suffice pomp on it to keep John wary he will end up losing this bout IMO. He cocks the left arm and flings it out there sort of just sizing up the big right hand behind it and that's all well and good against Journeymen but he will be in trouble against John doing that he needs to step in with it and back John up and start early because John gets very nervous before fights. John has to be mentally right and if he is i feel he will do the job. I think the lack of good learning bouts and bridging the gap fights will be Price's downfall also.
My money is on Price, do we know how many rounds this will be? I do think that the longer it goes it will favour Price, even though he is relatively untested over a long distance he seems to take his training more seriously than McD, so I fancy a late stoppage.
McDermott is gonna' get rid of him early doors like Pele Reid and Larry O. Price is awful even against Latvian bums. I'd even favour Audley to beat Price, that's how poor he is, despite his good showing in the Olympics. Such a shame Camarelle (spelling?) won't turn pro. He looked awesome.
Lets not say things we cant take back Flea I hope Big Bad John wins, he has had such hard luck in his career with bull**** decisions and i actually feel sorry for him. War Big Bad!!!!
Strange decisioon to go from putting price in with cabbies straight to a decent fighter like Mcdermott. Still think Price will win but questions will need to be asked of Maloney if he gets beat. Some of the 'fighters' he has got in for Price have been nothing short of disgraceful!!!
I agree with Mandanda on this one the jab is key and if Price can utilise his size and reach and properly employ his jab to not just prod and poke like he is allowed to do with his recent opponents but really thrust it and hurt McDermott with it then he can start to use it to set up his big right hand. Price needs to be 100% on the ball any sloppiness will be seized upon by Mcdermott who has the skills to get inside and work Price. So far Mcdermott is 2-0 in these Mcdermott v prospect fights he won the 1st Fury fight imo and destroyed Larry O lets see what happens to Price.
Even if you think he won the first Fury fight he's 2-1 against budding Heavyweight opposition ;-) Price as always, avoiding Paup Snith like the plague, as are Tyson and Phill Fury :deal
