@DavidPrice_1 Thanks for the messages of support everyone. I'm ok. These things happen. It's disappointing but life's full of ups and downs. I'll be back!
He won't, any half decent fighter he steps up against now will know he's china chinned and I don't think he has the trainer or skills to become as defensively sound as Manny Steward made Wladimir. Plus when you're a prospect ticket seller, once you've been beat without fulfilling that potential it's usually difficult to shift that many tickets in the future.
@DavidPrice_1 On another note. Congratulations to @audley_Harrison. If ever someone shows how to bounce back it's him. Genuinely pleased for you Audley.
Price has got class. This loss could really damage him mentally and inspire any opposition he faces, not sure how far he can bounce back, but wish him all the best.
I've heard Price had confidence issues for a while you do have to question how he deals with this set back. Was classy in interview..
Price is a great fella. I really hope he can come back because it would be horrible to see such a great bloke and top talent have his career ruined by something like this. Boy oh boy though, it's long climb back up that mountain.
He does seem sound, but as already said .. ****ing hell, considering alot of his fans come across as casual as anything,he's going to surely find it hard to shift tickets in the future? When he was on the canvas last night could hear some utter pricks shouting at him from the first couple of rows.
He should probably avoid anything Fury has to say aswell, won't do him any good mentally, and Fury isn't exactly acting with class
Price always seems like a great guy. I just hope his niceness doesn't stop him from firing his trainer and getting in somebody who can work on his defensive game. Because that's what Price needs right now. If he can get someone in who works on his defence, Price can bounce back.
Price is a good guy. Be honest, when Khan was knocked out by Prescott how many people thought he'd go on to become world champ? In the same way Price is being written off. When people mention Lewis and Wlad, they're not comparing Price to either of them or saying he'll be as good as them. All they're doing is using those guys as an example to show that a bad knockout defeat isn't necessarily the end. Yeah Price has got to be honest with himself and look at his flaws, but at the same time he has to take confidence from other people's examples. Otherwise, what's the point in continuing? I don't know if he can bounce back from this. It will take a lot of mental strength but good luck to him. Another thing I wanna mention is the chin issue. It's not as simple as hit guy on chin, cause knockout. People are looking at that one punch and coming to the conclusion that Price now has a worse chin than Wlad, and a p4p worse chin than Amir Khan. It may be true, we know already his punch resistance is not good, but you can't be so sure that his chin is worse than this person's or that person's based off one knockout. Sometimes it's just hard to explain. Khan got hit on the neck by Garcia and went down, yet was able to take shots on the chin from Maidana and stay standing. He was floored by Limmond, yet has taken punches off much harder punchers and stayed standing. Could this be due to him moving up in weight? Possibly, but who knows for sure? Depends on how violently the head is rotated, the level of fluid around the brain (to cushion it when it smacks against the skull-it's thought dehydration doesn't help), whether the fighter is able to see the punch coming and instinctively brace himself, the strength of the neck to act as a shock absorber, and other factors. Maybe sometimes these conditions just all come together to cause a KO even when the punch doesn't look particularly nasty? Not making excuses or suggesting he has a good chin, because he clearly doesn't. All I'm saying is you can't jump to conclusions and say he'll get sparked any time he gets tapped. Haye was knocked out against Thompson but took some flush right hands off Wlad-an explosive puncher and didn't look hurt.
