Yeah,a guy with significantly more experience beat him ... and?
The fact is Price had god awful punch resistance and will get found out again soon enough. And who gives a **** if Fury wouldn't have ko'd Skelton,Sexton etc? He'd still beat them, you're obsessed with Price and his knockout ratio.

(I'm convinced Fury would knockout Sexton and Audley, and probably stop Skelton late aswell, just for the record).

awful punch resistance? yet earlier you said mcdermott and skelton caught price fairly easily, so if his punch resistance is so awful, why didnt he go down or even get wobbled by mcdermott or skelton?
instead he just stopped them both!
im not obsessed with Price at all, i just think he is far superior to fury, and we will just have to wait untill it happens to see who is the best.
you also said price is just wlad without the clinching, well thats a massive compliment towrads price.
    you keep contradicting yourself.
    bore of now you gypo

Same as Spectator, like em both.Cant see the amateur result being very significant. How old were they both at time of the fight?IMO Davids got a little catching up to do,which will be helped greatly if he beats the guy theyre saying hes fighting next. All the same, wouldnt bet on a winner here, weve got 2 good prospects at least.

Price has an edge in power.

Fury has an edge in everything else

Fury would KO Skleton pretty quickly too, body shots are what does for the 50 year old.

Price took him out with body shots and Pulev did the same early doors too in only his 4th fight.

Fury has excellent body punching too, much better than Price - as we have seen in the past with Rogan & Belshaw [same size as Price] etc.

Fury would take out Sexton every bit as quickly as Chisora and Price did.

Let's just leave Audley out of this. I like the guy, but he has no place in boxing any more.

But it's irrelevant talking about these domestic level guys as Fury has long since moved past them. Price hasn't yet though :good

McDermott? Price fought him over 2 years later, with 4 more fights under his belt, and McDermott came in to the ring 20lbs heavier - they are not comparable. If Fury had 4 more fights, and had fought McDermott over 2 years later, and when he weighed 271lbs(!) then I have no doubt that he would have destroyed him in short fashion. Coming in at that weight speaks volumes about his motivation, he was clearly past his best and just in it for money.

Also, winning more convincingly against lower levels of opposition is not necessarily a good indicator. Price has the edge in power, no one is really debating that, so when facing journeymen he will almost always look more impressive. However, when his power isn't always the deciding factor, all the other attributes get much more severely tested, and that's where people feel that Fury may have the edge over Price.

Exactly, agree with second paragraph also in regards to Price and his power .. it literally means **** all if you have short comings in other areas,it's happened throughout HW history .. big hitters coming unstuck as soon as they face something they can't dent.Alot of these Price fans are casual and know little and just assume mega power = insta champ.
I think Price is really going to struggle with the movement, angles and punch variation of Fury, his hand speed also is going to shock him.

If Fury can keep his distance for the first 4 rounds I think he could box hos way to a decision or mid/late stoppage, the deepest Price has gone to date is 7 rounds vs a durable punchbag so it's difficuilt to give a valid opinion as it stands.

I'd like to see Price in there with a durable type who will give him some back too to see if he's as effective over the distance, but as of now I'd say Fury but it's a very misty view

He was down only once. And he's put Price on his arse in the amateurs. And the only reason Prices chin hasn't been hit is because he hasn't fought anybody with a reach long enough to hit it. As for his chin, he's been down/hurt several times as an amateur.
