    Ref stopped it in the 2nd. Terrible stoppage. Price wins though.

    It was a very bad stoppage. Reckon Price would have put him down again very soon though.

    That stoppage made Calzaghe vs Manfredo look brutally late - two cuffing shots forcing KD's and the fight was waved off :patsch

    Poor stoppage but Price had him and would have stopped him anyway.

    Not sure how much more the Russian could have done to show the ref he was ok. Maybe he should have offered to do a few of the drunk driving tests from "The Man with Two Brains".

    Despite the dubious nature of the win, Price still deserves alot of credit.

    I thought he was ****ed for sure pre-fight.

    It doesn't matter. 3 KDs in one round is an automatic stoppage in amateur boxing. So all Price had to do was drop him once more to win. Seeing as I have only heard the KDs due to the gash feed, I wont comment on whether he should have been allowed to go on.

    But from the sounds of it, Price should have had to floor him again and not just be given the stoppage win if the guy was fine to continue.

    Whoops missed this thread. Yea I thought the stoppage was OK. He was clearly still dazed after the first Knockdown. The blows were pretty crunching, imo.

    I thought he was ****ed in the first round, the Russian was all over him like a cheap suit, though he blocked the shots very well.

    As I watched it on BBC website, I cannot be 100% sure what the Russians eyes looked like, though the stoppage seemed premature for me.

    In any case, Joe Murray got ripped off a bit the other day so time for some good fortune on our side.

    I really hope the American light flyweight gets KTFO though, running like a little ***** all the way through. The biggest criticism of the games thus far is the lack of willingness of officials to clamp down on holding and running away :deal
