Yes he should, but he needs MASSIVE changes if he's going to be successful. He has the change his style, a lot like Wladmir Klitschko did. David should use him as the example. He can't keep rushing in looking for a the KO because of his power. He has to become more patient. Protect his obviously weak chin by standing off his opponent more, measuring his punches and grinding out stoppage wins. Like I said, WK is the master of this. It's the only way he's going to be be able to suceed at world level.
A rematch against Thompson in Washington would be ideal IMO, but doubt that'd happen, can see Price dropping back down to domestic level.
In his entire 16 fight career he has made one three second mistake. That is not indicative of someone who now needs to make MASSIVE changes. He does need a new coach though.
Yeah, he can still make a decent living, and in a cash strapped economy, his power will mean he'll always be able to steam overmatched opponents. i never thought he'd beat Fury, so maybe world aspirations should be put on hold for a bit, but he'll still sell tickets.
He needs massive changes because he's been found out. Three seconds is all it took for the world to see David's weakness. He can't keep using the same style otherwise he'll get wiped out again soon enough. Sack his idiot trainer and find someone who'll smarten him up defensively.
No. No one can recover from a perforated ear drum. It's impossible. The doctors say he'll never walk again. Let this poor old fellow enjoy what's left of his golden years, alone, in a corner, at the home, drooling all over his **** while they try to force-feed him strained peas.
Move to Riga and become the Latvian Heavyweight champion-taking on all Latvian opponents and retire in peace with only 1 loss on his record.
What the ****? Price should retire after one defeat? What the hell is going on here? It's all about coming back stronger and building himself back up. All this retirement talk is ridiculous.
I would say he has made a number of mistakes but he has never been in with an opponent good enough to capitalise on them....until last night.
The manner of his defeat on Saturday means that Price will never, ever operate anywhere near world level, he's just too fragile regardless of how he changes his style.
Where else could he make the kind money like he does in boxing, course he's gonna go on you soft lads, BUT if he looses the next one the money men and fans will all jump ship, he needs to get the next step right or he could be screwed
