I think this is a sensible suggestion but at the same time career ending for Price. Sure, Whyte doesn't appear a massive puncher but then I don't think you'd have to be to get Price out of there.

I reckon Gavin from Auto Glass would be getting another call from the plumber post fight. Whyte by KO. Auto Glass repair, Auto Glass replace...

Maybe, Whyte would ko price. So I don't begrudge price trying to cash out against AJ.

Price should fight and beat a lewison or a Allen

    Then get whyte

then get a shot at something

Unless he's prepared to then he needs to go back to plumbing. Whyte has been rebuilding for a whole year after being knocked out would be unfair to have him go down the ladder again to fight an inactive diva such a price.

If he fought agressively and used his huge frame and reach he could beat Whyte who is slow and hittable even at British level. But Price will likely paw with the jab and move back then get taken out.

Whyte is a nightmare for Price. However if Price wants to progress it's the type of fight he has to take. If he did win eye brows would be raised for sure.

Whyte has done nothing to impress me. I know styles make fights but price would k.o Alan and lewison in under 4 rounds. I don't think whyte is a puncher like people are making out.

If Price can't KO Whyte within a few rounds, he will gas, get picked off and stopped. That is why he is telling the Joshua sparring story to anyone that will listen. He wants the Joshua fight and his cv wont sell it, so he hopes sparring from yesteryear will land him the shot. He needs to stop fighting the bums and earn the shot.

Whyte throws a lot of punches, which for a heavyweight in this day and age is a big plus. He also has no fear and a granite chin. Those 3 factors alone will make sure he is fairly successful at HW even if as you say he doesn't have the power or the skill that people seem to think.

I'm not saying he's a world beater, but he can definitely trouble the big boys.

Whyte would demolish Price. That chin is just too terrible.

That's more like it, I'd happily have that as a British boxing fan, if Price just went and beat Whyte then there's some sort of justification to make the Joshua fight.

My problem with Price is he just don't deserve a world title shot off the back of his last two fights, it's just not acceptable.

I think Whyte would beat Price at this moment in time, Whyte is more active than Price, also having longer fights and that means getting more rounds in and Whyte is just starting to see the benefits of using sports science, plus the shoulder injury seems to be getting better with every fight.

I think Price needs somebody to test his stamina a little bit, to give him some rounds and something to think about, somebody tough but not too dangerous, it must be very hard to match Price at this moment in time, we won't know what he has left or if he has addressed certain issues until he goes a few rounds or is hit on the chin by any sort of decent punch but that could end his career if it all goes wrong.

I was thinking Dave Allen, he looked very tough but very limited against Whyte, he could give Price rounds and keep him honest but Price has said he is above Dave Allens level and is not remotely interested, it's a shame because I think it would be ideal.

Whyte could be a step too far like Teper. I think Price wants a payday against Femi and is prepared to do the euro bum circuit until gets it. Wise move imo.

Price should take a gamble and face someone like Hammer, Chisora or Charr. A win the former 2 would almost certainly land him a shot against Joshua. He has an outside chance of winning both even though he'd be a major underdog, Whyte would be suicide and Teper all over again as others have said....
