If Skelton beats Price then he likely gets a world title shot! Highly unlikely- looked beaten in the presser after the Audley fight fiasco.

 They should have a thing called Promoter Cam. Could you imagine Maloney's face if The Bedford Bear sparks Price :rofl.

Price jittering, On the way and see Maloney's lip trembling ''nah...naww noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo''.

    Not gonna happen though sadly..

Im quite sad about this fight as a few years ago Matts mauling dirty horrible but effective style would have given Price problems, and told us more about what hes really made of.

Im getting bored now watching the UK's up & comers bigging up old stiffs before they pummel them. I dont know how Price kept a straight face on TV telling us Skelton will be a toughie after he just beasted an old Audley.

This is worse than the guys Tyson Fury has been fighting.

They really dont want price in there with anyone who can land on that Amir Khan level chin

You never know, Skelton might be able to maul his way in and test Price's chin.

Audley and Skelton would provide Fury a tougher test than Rogan and Maddalone IMO

The only reason price is fighting Skelton is to own the British/commonwealth titles outright so who else can he fight
    Haye- no chance
    Fury- vacated
    Chisora-lost 4/5 , can't really see this happening

If price overcomes Skelton which he will it's time Maloney gets much better opposition because he is definitely ready

It really does smell a bit like that to be honest.

Price is coming up to 30, being touted as the heir to the Klitschko throne, yet still being put in with 47 year olds he is going to be able to take out with a couple of punches before they can actually land back on Price.

What exactly IS it Maloney knows about Price he doesn't want to let on ...

    Hmmmmm :huh

This is his 15th fight, so I'm happy to let him fight a domestic level guy. And he is staying busy also so I don't see a reason for complaining about it.

Chisora would be good after this and then he can maybe look at certain Euro fighters.

Keep busy fight and means its the british title for keeps, I have no problem with this fight provided he's stepped up in the new year !

Don't know how many times Pricey needs to say he wants to win the british title for keeps before people realise why he is fighting these opponents.

It's a keep busy fight. He just smashed Audley and is fighting Skelton six weeks later. I don't see a problem with that. What would annoy me is if Price sat out for 5-6 months and then took on Skelton.

I agree with both the above. :good

Isn't it exactly the kind of fight a young"ish" heavy weight prospect should have? Isn't variety early in a career to key to the development of a good preosect? It's a good "learning" fight form him against an awkward veteran.

The "hype" is gonna come regardless,he's an Olympic medalist, they allways get hyped. Remember before Price fought Dallas how people viewed Dallas as a bit of a prospect despite his snoozfests pre the Price fight. OK we know now what Dallas is now, but you can't blame Pricy for demolishng him. No one predicted him wiping out both McDermott and Sexton the way he did, again he can't be blamed. You always get hype when a medal winning HW prospect starts to wipe people out, that's the nature of the game.

Fair enough, we all knew what was gonna happen against Audley, but IMO Price was entitled to take that kind of fight to make a few extra dollars after the last three.

The Skelton fight is good for his development longterm and I'd love to then see him in against Delboy to kind of compare against Fury's performance and then maybe a European big man like Helenius.......

I reckon he's going all the way steadily but surely, croosing the 'T's and dotting the 'I's.
