I would have liked to have seen Price/Mcdermott next week to see how Price handles the step up in class, but ive always though and now there is no doubt in my mind that Prices blows Fury away.

Fury no doubt has fought and beat alot better oposition, but in all honesty i dont rate him very highly at all, especially after tonight. Hes very exciting and has alot of heart and good recovery skills, but to me thats where it end. Hes very flat footed, dosent really create any angles, is in terrible shape, walks on to punches alot and i think when he is put under pressure he looks Harrison-ish, the deer caught in the headlights kind of look, hes a big KO waiting to happen IMO.

Ive always tried to give Fury the benefit of the doubt but to be honest i think that its quite clear that Price is in a different class (although needs to step up, i think we will know more after Mcdermott in Jan) and would put him asleep earlish.

    Thoughts?

Price would land some heavy shots on Fury, and I would like him to win by KO. The really frustrating thing is that is the fight to make, but Price has been inactive when Fury has been extremely active and building his name so they have been moving further and further apart in terms of where they stand in the division. Hopefully Price can get some momentum and we can look forward to this fight next year.

Yeah i agree Price needs to step it up, Furys moving fast which is good, but i think he might be moving too fast.

He needs time off, read a post on here from someone who's amateur coach knows Fury and apparently he is falling out of love with the Sport, be a shame if true. But either way he needs some time off, four fights in the space of six months is tough for any fighter let alone one that doesn't have his head quite right.

Mick needs to do some real promoting for Boxing and do a one off deal with FW to showcase Clev, Degale, Groves or Burns on Channel 5 so he can give Tyson a rest, whilst keeping his deal with C5 intact and keeping his fighters busy.

Yeah i agree, Fury has been very active recently i think for his own good he needs to slow down abit, go away on holliday, relax or what ever he wants to do, jus have a good few weeks away from boxing to clear his own head and then come back fresh. I feel that hes rushing himself too much, hes talking Povetkin and the Klits but i think hes still raw and at this moment in time he would struggle big time with lesser fighters, Arreola, Thompson, Chamber, Adamek.

Price is moving along alot slower but i feel hes taking it alot more serious than Fury is.

There's nothing wrong with Fury's in ring activity over the recent months... I think people have just become used to fighters fighting 3 or 4 times a year, it was never a problem before.

Fury's progress has been very good by having fights against decent opponents allows him to stay motivated and work hard in the gym; and it's in the gym where he makes improvements.

I dont think there is anything wrong with Furys activity, its great. I just think hes being rushed and dosent seem in the right frame of mind, his weight he came in at for this fight was an indication that he may have not have been 100% focused. Im not nocking Fury at all for his activity or opposition, i think hes got a great slate so far.

I just dont think he is anywhere near as good as he or others around him think he is and hes going to be rushed into trouble

Clearly Price would win this easily, by a KO inside 5 rounds.

Fury just has zero defence and would be brutally exposed by Price.

He came into last nights fight over weight with his hands down and his chin in the air.

Fury may need to see a shrink. He's made some comments that border on the suicidal.

Seems that I am in the minority here but I will have my say. I like price and think he is arguably the hardest punching of all the up and coming heavyweights but to everyone who is convinced he would walk through fury, I disagree. Watch furys last few fights and u will see someone who has the heart of a lion and can also bang a bit himself. Sure he has flaws but with the right trainer and dedication he could go all the way. fury doesn't need price. He has his ranking and should take his chance at a world title shot if it comes up. For all that I like about price, he hasn't had a test yet. Price needs to fight a few names before he deserves a fight with fury. Good luck to both of them. They are more exciting than anything else I can see out there at the moment

I honestly see Furys career going the way of Jurgen Braehmers. Hes just not mentally stable to deal with Boxing. Sooner or later hes going to crack be it inside or outside of the ring

I said this in another thread, if Price had him in trouble like last night, Fury would be out cold.

You could have Holyfield's chin, but with such a dismal defence, you can get knocked out by anyone at Heavyweight.
