Goodness me! What type of comment is this? :barf Fury is tall and rangy, Skelton is a short (for a HW) plodder, Skelton got "inside" as you put it* but lunging in from 2-3 ft out, with his hands in a defensive position, do you honestly think Fury will roll in from distance to Price just to land meaningless uppercuts or rabbit punches? :huh *I would describe it as sitting on Price's chest in a completely invalid position to cause anything other than nuance Fury's best work (as seldom as it was) against Chisora was at length, he beat Chisora by hitting him when he was available to be hit with straight punches and the occasional left hook, not by simply engaging him "inside" Fury DID NOT beat Chisora on the inside, Chisora's best moments came from landing short hooks from close range, he bullied Fury on the inside, Fury had enough in his arsenal to hang with Chisora inside but he didnt beat him there :deal
Skelton is a short 45 year old, if he can back Price up to the ropes, I think Fury can. If Fury comes out agressive with his jab, with his hands up, I feel he will back Price up to the ropes. Watch the Chisora fight against. Fury, the much taller fighter, beat him on the inside in come rounds.
An amazing - yet finally sensible - poll turnaround. I'm sure a couple of months ago it was 15 vs 85 in Price's favour It will only get wider in Fury's favour in coming months. Once again Price is fighting a senior citizen in his next fight atsch Thompson will make him look bad again though. There is no favourable outcome against a guy in his 40s. Win too soon it's a pathetic match up. Get tagged or take ages to dispose of someone old enough to be your Dad and it's equally as a bad a reflection upon you as a fighter. Not really sure of the matchmaking thought process behind Thompson vs Price.
Price has better body work than Fury? Course he does. Fury is chinny? Flash knock down, once in his entire career. Fury is faster than Price, fact.Fury looks alot more fluid when boxing. Fury would jab Prices face to pieces,Skelton hit him once and had his eye blacked, glass skin, suspected glass chin. **** the Price nut huggers, making out that Johnson is bollocks,if it was Price that had taken him the distance he'd be seen as the second coming. I think alot of the hate comes from the realiazation that Fury can actually box,and box pretty ****ing well when he's focussed and has a good corner. I expect some sarcy responses but that's to be expected from Price fans, absolutely horrible ****s for the most part, wouldn't surprise me if the one''s in the crowd booing tonight were on Price's payroll.
For the first time ever on Friday we saw an opponent who could take Prices best headshot. The gap in class between th opponents of Price with who Fury has fought over is career is cause for concern. In my view we can only truly urge Price once he has fought someone like Thompson.
I'd say Price. But I think a change of management is in order for him, at the earliest possible opportunity preferably. Mismatch just seems to want to keep him under wraps for as long as possible, whereas Fury has fought a far superior set of opponents, with a more varied range of styles too.
Ive seen Fury Chisora you idiot I laid out how i seen it, why would you tell me go and watch it if i told how i seen the fight go down? :huh Lets make this a bit clearer for you and for others, this fight will be contested at distance, Fury is a light punching HW with a reasonable out put, he sacrifices pure boxing technique for numbers, he prefers to punch in numbers as oppose to punching technically correct which of course is more physically taxing but ultimately worth it! Here is my personal breakdown of this fight Fury will look to do what he always does, jab jab jab, and follow up with his varied combinations, Price jabs better than Fury, he does not jab as often as Fury but he does so in a near perfect manner technically, Fury paws his jab and only half extends his arm. Price steps in and fully turns his fist over protecting his chin, Fury jabs to open an opponent up for other shots, Price jabs to cause damage with a JAB! there is a big difference there, and Fury will not paw at Price when Price stands as tall as him and bangs him with a better, harder more accurate jab If Fury wants to engage Price by "rushing him" as Skelton did, as some clown above suggested was detriment to Price as Skelton is 45 ?? :huh he will have t be willing to engage Price on the way in, if he does that Price will knock him out in my humble opinion. From the outside - If these two contest a fight behind the jab and let the back hand go (which they will) Fury again will have to be willing to put himself in harms way to cause damage to Price, once again if Price begins to land Fury will be knocked out! again my humble opinion. In summary, Price is a disciplined tall rangey 1-2 fighter, Fury is a tall rangey jabber who can be lazy mid combination, Price gives away very little, people seem to think by moving backwards with your hands up is somehow losing a fight? :huh its called a defence mechanism for protecting a weak chin or against heavy handed opposition (Fury and Kahn maybe should take note of this), Fury on the other hand has bizarre habits of leaning into an opponents danger shot after a back hand, i.e. leaning towards the right hand of an orthodox fighter. Price packs more power due to technical superiority, Fury looks a tad more fleet footed and probably better conditioned, is this because he is, or because he takes rounds off and reduces all his power? IMO a bit of both Fury looks to have more variation but i believe what Price has is more effective than what Fury has in causing damage, added to that by Fury committing to a more varied attack he opens himself up to be countered or timed coming in, Price is very very disciplined and can look boring or 1 dimensional because of this, again thats based on opinion Ive got Price, if anyone wants to debate, lets debate, but dont anyone accuse me of being a Price nuthugger because im from Liverpool give me some ******* input, proper input, not the **** that sits above this post :deal :good
Whilst Price has superior power & better technique Fury has a few advantages. I think he has better footwork & quicker feet, he's quite mobile for such a big guy. He was turning Johnson quite well at times & pivoting to change angles. While both guys have questionable durability Ive got a suspicion that Fury can take a better shot than Price. He certainly appears much calmer under fire. I can understand why so many posters are picking Price by KO but I think it will be very competitive, Fury will prove to be very tough to beat & Im not convinced Price is the man to do it.
So I'm an idiot because I don't share the same opinion as you? BTW I did not read your full comment but Fury beats Price on the inside that's my opinion and I'll stick with it.
