How would this one go? Does the Price of the Povetkin fight do a number on the remaining fossilised chassis of David Haye? Sadistic as it may seem to some, I think this a good undercard thriller. Difficult to call.
Price KO within 5 for me Haye is a cripple and not only that, everyone knows it now. Would make a great fight though.
Not difficult to call. Price would batter him. Haye completely and totally finished now. Love a comeback personally but you can't fight with the injuries Hayes had. Had nothing left in that first fight against bellew and completely nothing in the second one. Looked like a fighter trying to imitate a fighter. Bellew basically decided when to knock him out. That's how far gone haye is.
Haye ****s him up. Haye has lost a lot of his power because of his injuries but remember in both fights he landed flush on Bellew’s chin. Remember the second one with that nice moment when they both shrugged at each other after? Even this reduced power Hayemaker would obliterate Price’s chin.
OK, sorry to the couple of hundred peeps who may have thought this was a realistic/done deal. I knowingly put '6 rounds scheduled' in the past tense to make it seem a bit like it was agreed. I love the fact that there is no consensus on this one although people are favouring Pricey probably due to activity and working legs which is fair enough. I actually think Haye can do him simply because Price is far, far less mobile than Bellew and Haye sort of knew he couldn't box to a proper level so went out on his shield a bit and knowingly gave up on the notion of beating Bellew it seems. I believe Haye with a full camp, tailored for a Price fight, could box in a way which would get to Price at some point, then it becomes interesting. Can this version of Haye box like Teper did? Probably....maybe...yeah. Plus I wanted to use the phrase 'fossilised chassis' ha ha ha.
Haye is finished as we all know, but by all accounts Haye sparked Price on more than one occasion during sparring when Price was under Haymaker - so wonder if this would make Big Pricey rather tentative...
I have to back Price and i was a big Haye fan Price isn't great but at least he is a functional boxer. Haye is as much of a liability as Roy Jones now with how ruined his body is. This is like Enzo vs Roy
