Jeez a 45 year old Skelton?

Price is being like Canelo, fighting bloated welterweights for the We Be Chicano/We Be Crooks belt and fighting Jr Welterweights lol

It was a wind up thread, which apparently you fell for.

Price has already stated he isn't read for Wlad.

the guy is still domestic level and he's doing a good job of cleaning house.

A fight with Chisora would have been better but this will do.

Let's see him vs Boytsov or Helenius after this.

That's a fair point, but wlad was 21 and only one yearinto his pro career when he had his 15th fight, david price is 29, so should be hurrying up a lot.

Also, when wlad had been a pro as long as price will have been when he fights skelton, he would have fought; axel schulz, Paea Wolfgramm (18-1), David Bostice (22-1-1), Monte Barrett (23-1) and was about to fight Chris Byrd.

good fight, nice to see him in the ring so fast, against a limited guy but he bring pressure and wildness, something price hasnt been in there with, and he actualy wants to brawl. the fury fight wont happen till june next year at the earlyest.

A fight against chisora was of course out of the question, due to his problems with the bbbofc, and price being british champion.

I'm disappointed his next opponent is so poor, but what were his other options if he wants to defend the British Title to win it outright?

    Haye is above british level,
Fury, would have been good, but they are having trouble making that fight happen
    Chisora, Banned
Sexton, Harrison, Mcdermot, and dallas, He's already beaten
Whyte and Cornish, Probably too early for these two to take on Price
    So all he is left with is;
    Towers
    Rogan
    Sprott
    Skelton

Out of these four Towers has a fight lined up, Sprott is coming off 4 loses, so really he is down to Skelton or Rogan.

Chisora is a good punching bag thats about it. I don't think he could take Price's power for long. Chisora's come foreward and block punches with his face then wild arm swinging punches wont work against the skill and size of Price. It would be murder

Skelton is fine as an opponent considering Price will be fighting in less than 2 months and has 14 fights in his career. Price could use rounds before really stepping up and Skelton might give him some.

After he beats Skelton I'd like to see a Price-Chisora fight, Chisora is solid and would push Price. I don't think Price should be thinking about Wlad until maybe 2014 at the earliest.
