People even discussing that this is the end of the road should be embarrassed. This is exactly why fighters don't have rematches because they know they become a harder sell to the fans. Instead they hide behind mind numbing excuses as to why they lost a particular fight and why that wouldn't be the same if they fought again (though they thend to never actually fight again).
I think Price should have some time off, he did fight Oct, Dec, Feb and July without breaks in between. Then come back in dec, fight a Rogan or Firtha and end the year on a W. after a couple of domestic fights he should take the euro circuit, Pulev would have moved on by then and I still believe he could beat Sosnowski, Dimitrenko and Pianeta who are all past Euro champs. After a couple of defences see where he's at and the world scene is at like micky said. True fans will support fighters on their darkest nights.
I would hate to be considered an old man at 41, anyway no one's really interested in your opinion, so... You get the idea.
just watching the 5th round Price was taking shots he looked like he was taking them out of bravery, he was so tired, he did not have it in him to take it back to Thompson, If I was him I would seriously think about how to revamp his style and fitness. For instance if that was Lennox you would have expected him to come back with some shots even if wild swings, but Price looked like he could not, I feel sorry for David his heart was probably thinking he was going to be a world champ. Thompson looked like he had control of it with ease just walking in and punching, Thompson would have got KO by anyone like Holyfield or Lewis in a round or 2. But I wish David Price whatever he goes on to do in life, he has done more than most people would ever do.
I hate national anthems being booed as well, very disrepectful but to be fair its not just Scousers that boo the national anthem, happens all over the country and in other sports too.
