Priced himself out? Remember when BJS wanted $4 million and a UK fight from GGG?

I believe 55/45+ 10% to the winner was the mandatory split. The only offer or number I saw from Oscar was 90/10. Did either side make some sort of counter? None that I am aware of.

Why should Canelo care as long as he is getting the lion's share since he said "for honor and glory"

Exactly, GGG is not a draw anywhere. He has the fanboys fooled. He doesnt care about legacy, hes all about the money. Thats why he wanted froch and chavez but not ward. Thats also why hes begging mexican fans to watch his fights

They were the mandatory rules right?

As interim champion he was entitled to 45% I think. Could be wrong though.

You are not wrong, the organization decided to give gg the right to force that. Even when in its own rules it only applies when the challenger has huge mediatic impact, bigger than champion's. And that, that was not the case. But the organization wanted to get rid of canelo as his mw champion I guess. Still gg could have asked for not forcing that, but he prefered his "free" belt, than fighting for it.

The fight could turn out to be good, maybe brook will look good at the weight

At the moment it seems like a bit of a **** fight ( although viable available alternatives for September were thin on the ground )

    BUT

It could be a good fight

So to see how crazy some people are getting on here is real funny, but not at all surprising

He also took step aside money several times. He cares alot more about money than his fans make it out to seem.

all any pro athlete cares about anymore is the money. in team sports, many choose assured losing to get more money.

Irrelevant. Brook is a WW this is a pathetic display by GGG and his fans to try and rationalize this farce but too bad for you I can see right through it.

That's fine but if you ask GGG fans he fights for belts, legacy and to please the fans. Everything else is secondary. I disagree GGG cares very much about money he accepted step aside money more than once.

He isn't giving brook anything lol sky ppv is the reason they can make this fight. BJS is with ******, he cannot get on sky ppv thus meaning there is no money to bring golovkin here....and as sanchez has said golovkin cannot pay opponents millions like they want...

It's not the same. Floyd came after a long period of inactivity. Plus Marquez was what, 38 or 40? Coming off WARS? And he also agreed on a catchweight (which he didn't honor but the very fact it was present makes everything okay).
