It almost seems like Barrera was zoned out or something. He reacts to the punch after the fact with a kind of smirk of disbelief. Very odd.

Strange then that he freely admits that no matter what he tried,he just couldn't figure Manny out and just had no answers.
Not your average "smug mother****er that thinks...etc" reaction.wouldn't you say?
I suspect Barrera watches fights similar to the way Leonard did, brimming with envy and telling himself it should be him up there. The mark of a winner IMO,but then SRL and MAB are my alltime #1 and #2,so I won't pretend that I'm very objective on this subject.
As for the MAB-JMM fight,it was the only time I wanted JMM to lose, but I seem to be one of the few Barrera fans who,on second viewing, are convinced that JMM did enough, although I think it would have been a different fight in say,02.JMM has been my favourite active fighter since Barrera's decline, but I followed him for a good time before that, and always hoped he would've put an end to my compatriot Scott Harrison's nonsense a few years back.Sadly,Harrison claimed JMM was too greedy.More like far too ****ing good!
Regardless of his reaction,I'd find it comforting just to think there's no real animosity between them, but it's based on nothing but optimism.

Oh and Barrera isn't just staring off he's watching a monitor and its not until the fight gets waved off that he stands up and actually smiles. I think he was in shock a little. I don't blame him for not acting like a 15 year old girl at a ****** Beiber concert like Chavez and the others were.

Makes sense. Again you can see him get up and smile, probably at JMM up on the ropes.

    Oh yeah?

Thats cool to hear then. I do remember Erik giving Juan his props after the 3rd JMM-Pac fight. But i also remember earlier that same year in an interview where Morales was talking in negative way about JMM, mostly his boxing style.

But oh well, nice to hear that they are cool with each other.

I think Barrera just can't look and be happy about Pacquiao being KTFO.

Strange thing calling him a **** for not acting like a *****.

There was a vid of them together on 'Golpe a Golpe' or might've been another Mexican programme, few years back. I don't know if it's still around. Bits of it had translation, which came in handy and you could see they respected each other and were friends (I don't know if it's changed since). They were also talking about why they didn't fight...

Morales was demonstrating how he beat Pacquiao by circling, taking half a step back (rather like Marquez does) making him fall short and go off balance and then countering him.

I think MAB was shocked by the KO, to the point of not moving. I think he's fine once the disbelief has disapeared and the situation has sunk in. at 0.41 of the video it looks like he does a little shake of the fist in triumph and begins to smile as if he cant quite believe it.

You have to take into account that the Mexican crew is only broadcasting back to Mexico. Their audience is Mexican. The US HBO crew broadcast to variable different ethnicities around the US and other part of the world.
I'd expect the Phillipine broadcast crew to be cheering for Pacquiao.

Another thing thats important is that the Mexican crew give no bones that they're rooting for Marquez, HBO's crew goes to long lenghths to portray themselves as being fair and without bias. In other words, hypocrisy at its very finest.

The times where Morales took some jibes at Marquez is when there was negotiation between the camps to fight eachother.

I dont think Morales was dissapointed that as MAB looked here that Marquez KTFO Pacquiao.
I think I read somewhere that Morales jokingly tweeted after the KO that Mexico's supplier was better than the Phillipines! LOL!
I think Morales tweeted that in humor. After fight 3 Morales voiced robbery, that Marquez was the 2nd Mexican to tear Pacquiao's ass apart.

Morales is not as stingy as MAB to pass out complliments even to a fellow Fab Four fighter.
It seems from the outside looking in that MAB feels that each win Marquez has over Pacquiao, diminishes his own accomplishments.
Its to bad that he feels that way.
The best thing to do is to let history judge your accomplishments. MAB comporting himself in this way only hurts his own image, and especially to the Mexican viewing audience.

Of course he is bitter. He is offcially in third place behind Morales and JMM.

Morales beats both MAB's daddies, and losese to Morales when they were in the prime of their careers.

    EM>MAB

JMM beats MAB, and goes on to beat Pac at least 3 times and 1 draw, and KTFO Pac in the process.

    JMM>MAB

Of course he's not going to be excited about JMM solifying status over him.
