Plus he would earn more if he fought more... unless he started losing. So I fear he just doesn't think that he could beat Blocus and then go on and beat Sexton, too. So even Price doesn't rate himself that highly, deep down.

Pretty poor if a big, twentysomething 'professional' doesn't think he's got the conditioning to handle those two fights that close together, so it must be fear of losing.

Lack of ambition is killing boxing, we're running short of guys to get behind with real fire in our bellies.

Well that could be, but unfortunately at his age and with his number of fights he is on course to manage a couple of big fights at the end of his career then retire, so will never be remembered as a great.

If he genuinely has ambition as a fighter, then he just needs to fight and everything else will come. Anyone with genuine ambition needs to press it themselves, as waiting on third parties to deliver it will never get one there as quickly. This sitting around on the sidelines waiting on an overly-conservative promoter to deliver a steady route to the top does not suggest that Price has that much ambition to me, whatever his talent.

I think Price isn't one for fighting on a regular basis. Just impression i get maybe he prefers gym time. I don't understand why you'd turn down a chance to fight in U.S then fight Sexton.
