    Prichard Colón Melendez is a 6'0 23 year old Light Middleweight with a 16-0 13 KO's record. Born in Maitland, Florida, USA and fighting out of Orocovis, Puerto Rico. Colón who is a 5 time Amateur Puerto Rican National Champion is a protégé of the Puerto Rican legend Felix Tito Trinidad, due to Prichard's family being close friends with Trinidad for Prichard's entire 23 year life, so hopefully some of his greatest has rubbed off. Pedro Diaz his former trainer thinks very highly of his one time pupil he definitely thinks he'll be a star of the future, Prichard is currently being trained by his father Richard. He is a very good counter puncher, throws good left hooks, he has fast hands, good timing, fairly good at controlling range with his jab, he has an awkward energy wasting herky jerky style that he could fine tune a little. But so far he's looked so good against past it fighers and a few decent journeymen. Prichard has the skills and lets hope he has the chin, because he speaks English, he's handsome and he's fairly heavy handed, he has the makings of a star.     Poor kid, he has two names to make fun of, Colon and his unfortunate nickname Digget, when they announced him tonight against Harris, the announcer clearly said Prichard "****head" Colon.:lol:

    Seems like a legit threat at 147-160.

    I rate him only second to Erickson Lubin as LMW prospects.

    You know in 3-4 yrs it'll be Spence, Lubin, Colon, and Julien Williams are gonna be having some great fights and some world level rivalries. :think

    I liked what I saw last night against a bum. I need to see it against a decent opponent though. He has some athleticism, is tall, and rangy, and has decent hand speed.

    Spence, Colon and JRock are legit threats, although I think Lubin while a seemingly decent prospect he seems very chinny, and that isn't good against those 3.

    I think his handspeed is far more than "decent". Hes got very fast hands. Hes no Camacho but hes damn fast especially for a guy with such long arms.
