Jones would have destroyed Collins... As much as I like Stevie he was hittable, and RJJ would land solidly and do damage. And at 160, Collins is NOT hurting RJJ.

    Against Malinga???

Eubank had a tough fight that went the distance
Jones DESTROYED him in 6 rounds

People still take the Jones vs Toney fight seriously.
Was it not enough typed about it?
Jackson was an underrated boxer and despite being smaller, with Jones' shaky chin all he needed was 1 punch.
Sure Jones had WAY faster hands than Nunn or Jackson?
I do not remember it this way.
McClellan outpointed him once and would have done a lot more given more rounds he was not given in the amateurs.
McClellan walked through Jackson's best punches without going down so forget about Jones' brittle hands doing big damage to him and start thinking about McClellan's heavy hands doing BIG damage to Jones' brittle chin.

But PRIME RJJ was busy fighting Vinny Pazienza, 40 years old Mike McCallum, 38 years old Thulani Malinga , 36 years old Tony Thornton, weak as cancer sick James Toney and had to have Montell Griffin hurried cold into the ring in order to win against him.

Surely prime versions of McClellan, Nunn, McCallum, Julian Jackson, Reggie Johnson could do better than those.

Possibly, especially since Jones was 5 years younger, but who expected him to get KOd by Glen Johnson, a former non puncher by that time?
Also, I considered it as prime vs prime. Something like Collins when he fought Johnson or Kalambay against the Jones that fought Hopkins.

When Malinga fought Jones, he was 18 months older and 4 fights with 46 rounds wearier (with 2 of those fights and 22 of those rounds being fought against Eubanks and Benn ) than when he fought Eubanks. Typical Jones feeding off the leftovers.

Is this with or WITHOUT the steroids that the cheat took? No one knows for sure how long he took them because when he was caught it was swept under the carpet for over a year, with the aquiescence of the authorities, to maintain his so called p4p status.

Rumor has it that Jones was breastfed steroids and other PEDs.

Sorry but I have NO interest in rumours. Just the date it was acknowledged that Jones had tested positive in Indiana immediately AFTER his May 2000 fight against Richard Hall.

At 160 hagler would break rjj down.at 168 and 175 Jones was beautiful and lightning fast.
I have Jones in the top 5 of all time at 175 but I don't think he did enough in haglers division

I agree that beating a prime Roy Jones is a tall order for anyone. I think Jones would have to show Hearns more respect on the outside than most fighters. In turn you may see a more cautious, economical Roy Jones.

Nobody had Roy Jones speed at that weight but Hearns was quick himself and had that jab. I just think it`s an interesting challenge.

It wasn't that sneaky at all, it was obvious when it became the only punch he throw in some of his fights.
