I'm not a fan of wine but Sangria is the only wine I'll ever drink. Sangria translated from Spanish means "blood". And no, I'm not the owner of that bar. Cool name though.

Apologies if I come off a bit harsh on certain threads, but it seems to me the general forum has completely taken over the classic. I've been posting here for years but this place is officially wrecked beyond repair.

It took the young Tyson you talk of five rounds to beat Mike Jameson. A man who was coming off losing a decision to a man who failed to last a round with Henry Tillman.

Yet beating in four rounds someone who beat Shavers, Norton, Ali, Berbick, Cooney, Witherspoon, Bonecrusher and Williams; a man who some felt still deserved to be unbeaten as pro, does not compare?

You are right, it does not!

To misquote Eric Morecambe: You are writing all the right words; just not necessarily in the right order...

That old washed up Holmes was still leagues better than quick Tillis, alonzo ratliff, Lorenzo Canady and hector mercedes. And no it wasn't an even fight. Holmes deserved the third round. that's it...

A washed up Ali of 80/81 beats 86 Mike Jameson inside five rounds, unlike the Iron one. Indeed the Ali of this era is a probable pick-em.

Holmes was a sensational fighter, who a decade past his last title reign gave a McCall who was coming off flattening Lewis, a life and death struggle for a dozen rounds. The Holmes of 88 would of had a fair chance against anyone other than Tyson.

The reason Tyson lost this fight was because he didn't train. This had nothing to do with that myth about him being out of his prime or any foolish sh!t like that.
But to answer your question Tyson would have killed him.

I do not think the Douglas fight was a physical issue for Tyson, it was his lifestyle. His life was falling apart; Givens, Green, getting rid of Rooney it all contributed to Tyson not being at the top of his game. But that is not to do Buster a disservice, circumstances meant he was at the very top of his game and I think would of given any version of Tyson a huge test.

Prime Tyson destroys Douglass 99% of the time.

Drugs, lifestyle, loss of Rooney/Cus, etc. caused the loss. Tyson was shot at a young age.

    Still hurt Douglass.

Mike KOs him time after time in his prime.
