Yes it is. I'm not much of a Lewis fan, that's for sure.
But I believe he too would get by Ali.

Just look at what Henry Cooper did to Ali in Ali's prime! If Angelo Dundee had not cut Ali's glove, the small Cooper would have knocked him out! Think what Vitali would have done.

What saved Ali in the Foreman fight was the fact that Foreman simply punches himself out and ran completely out of gas. Vitali would have not run out of gas. Vitali has great stamina, throws lost of punches in every round, plus great chin.

We all have our own opinions but yours my friend has nothing that contains the truth or any subjectivity. Besides this is about Prime 60's (not 70's) Ali vs Prime Vitali.

Lewis gave him his shot has mandatory challenger early and Vitali came up short. Lewis retired happy and content. Why prolong his career to keep someone else happy? He owed nobody nothing.

People who think Vitali throws a lot of punches against punching bags need to watch more film of Ali dance, movie, elude, counter, lead for 15 rounds while punching in bunching. Ali's stamina is superior to Vitali's. And that's not a knock on Vitali it's just physics. All that muscle mass slows you down a little. It's like expecting Ali to hit harder than Vitali or Wlad. He doesn't, but his stamina is better. And I know Vitali has good stamina for a big man, I don't doubt that.

I think Ali would dice up Vitali badly. He's far too slow and clumsy. Height isn't going to land his punches for him. Terrell was near 6'6 but he was fast and even he couldn't connect on Ali. A focused prime Ali was very tough to hit.

People mention Norton but they forget to realize Norton had the greatest trainer/strategist in Eddie Futch in his corner. Futch knew ALi's reflexes were far to great to move and make you miss and then counter. So he had Kenny block Ali's jab and counter with jabs, right hands, and uppercuts. Again, this was an overconfident and past his best Ali anyway.

Vitali doesn't fight anywhere near like that, nor does Wlad. And let's face it they don't have the style or speed to try fighting like Norton anyway.

So what his legacy counts for nothing in the ring?
Are you seriously announcing to everyone that Vitali is as fast has Ali?
Also you do realise Ali was well past his peak when he fought Foreman don't you?

:goodGood post mate and i agree with most of it but let's not forget were talking about prime Ali, and Ali wasn't in his prime when he fought Norton. I'm not saying that version of Ali could'nt beat Vitali but it definatley wasn't a prime Ali.

Nat Fleisher said any man above 180 pounds could whip another man. For the most part I still believe that is true.

It seems some people haven't learned from Pac. All this talk of size this and size that and height this. Like skills, speed, and ability aren't the most important factors here. And with greater size you generally have less fluidity and speed. This is apparent comparing the two fighter's competition.

Saw some more 60's Ali footage.

Klittards gotta stop using examples of Ali's fights against Frazier or Foreman lol or Norton. The regression from Prime Ali to 70's Ali is pretty shocking.

60's Ali had surreal speed, reflexes, work rate, foot movement, very fast hands and overall is just a freak athlete. He was a legit tall 6'3 as well.

Vitali don't have the one punch KO power to knock out Ali, especially with Prime Ali's speed and reflexes+iron chin. I just don't see how Vitali can won 7 of 12 rounds against Ali to gather a victory here. Most likely a 8-4 9-3 score card with Ali making Vitali look ******ed at times.

Possibly a tko since Vitali bleeds easy.

Tough to say, but I go with Vitali for his superior size and power.
