also here is Chavez not moving enough against Dela Hoya. you cant expect to win against guys like Dela Hoya and Tszyu who have great accuracy by not moving our head.

and all because he makes his head an easy target.

I think Chavez is over rated or at least over protected at 140. He has no quality wins that I can think of and had truble with Talyor and Whitiker. Both fights he was luckey to get a win and a draw.

like ive been trying to point out, guys with great accuracy in there boxing game always did well against Chavez because his head was so still.
i believe Whitaker won that fight against Chavez and why because again of his accuracy the only reason he didnt do what ODH and Zoo did is because his punching power wasnt the same but his accuracy was.

Tszyu would not be able to knock out Chavez. In his prime I don't even remember Chavez being seriously hurt. The true question would be if Tszyu could stand up to the battering of Chavez' blows. In the late rounds Tszyu would feel the effects & be prime for the knockout. Tszyu had all the talent in the world. But in a war of attrition in the late rounds he did not fare so well. He wilted against Hatton & Phillips. & Chavez would be there for the long haul.

the Hatton fight showed only a little of what Chavez would've done to Tszyu in his prime...Chavez TKO9 Tszyu

The guy was 36 in the DLH rematch and 38 in the Tszyu fight. After many years of fighting at a high level, and knowing Chavez, probably lots of Coronas and cocaine.

Prime Chavez had good subtle head movement. He rolled with shots well and slipped them also pretty well.

Watch the telecast of the Chavez-Rosario fight. They showed Chavez slipping punches so smoothly you would almost miss it. & come back with three punch combinations. Devistatingly effective. & to suggest De La Hoya beating A prime Chavez is rediculious. Hopkins bodyshots would be nothing compared to a Chavez assault to the body! & De La Hoya barely beat Miguel A. Gonzalez, Who many compared as a low level Chavez clone.

    DLH beat MAGO pretty handily.

He tired later on and took a couple rounds off, running in rounds 10 and 11, like he did versus Tito, but he came back strong in round 12.

Most of the fight was Oscar jabbing the **** out of Gonzalez.

anyway im still going with Tszyu you wont change my mind. Tszyu could hurt any fighter with that right hand. what **** are you spinning.

were talking a 2001 Prime Tszyu vs a 1990 Chavez.

so thats Chavez win over Meldrick Taylor,Jaime Balboa,Kyung Duk Ahn

against Tszyu's wins over Sharmba Mitchell,Oktay Urkal and Zab Judah for the lot.

anyway my point is that Chavez isnt as good as they all say he was. his head movement didnt change through his whole career if so for me it wouldnt matter.
Chavez's Prime was from 1989 until 1995 so thats wins over alot of talented fighters but his style was perfect for ODH and Tszyu thats why they won in the fashion they did. age played its part aswell but the same would have happened to a Prime Chavez.

Tszyu's Prime went from 1997 until 2003 in that time he had some great wins also. Tszyu was a dodged man a huge risk for not much reward.

its only one mans opinion but from what i say over the years of Chavez he always struggled against guys that had great accuracy and could find his head on regular occasion.

    Thats why Tszyu will win.

So are you saying Hatton would have beaten a prime Tszyu?! NO WAY!! Tszyu would have torn Hatton apart in his prime. AGE is a cruel thing...

Not only would Chavez always have trouble with Tszyu and DLH, he would also always have trouble with Grover Wiley and Willy Wise, who he was facing around the same time as DLH and Tszyu :good

but in his Prime he had trouble with Pernell Whitaker,Meldrick Taylor,Jose Ramirez and Frankie Randall.

This man got alot of gift decisions because of the crowds influence and i feel he would still lose every time to a Prime Zoo or a Prime Dela Hoya. because last time i checked a Prime Zoo or ODH is far more advanced as Meldrick Taylor,Jose Ramirez or Frankie Randall.

Oh, c'mon... He looked smaller even in 38 when he was old and fat.
