Unless Morrison just runs the whole match, I'll bet on him getting knocked out. Cobb is looked upon very poorly due to him not being too appealing in the eye test, but he was no joke. Beat Shavers, Mercado, and should've gotten the decision against Norton, not to mention being competitive with other guys at the time like Dokes and Douglas.

C'mon now... A heavy punch, hard chin, solid skills, and the ability to actually move? I've got Randy all day.

I’ll go with Morrison by clear but hard-fought decision. He wouldn’t stop the granite-chinned Cobb but his offense was too much for Randall to overcome on the cards.

Remember, Tommy outboxed Big George in a very disciplined effort and he also gutted out tough late wins over Carl Williams and Joe Hipp overcome adversity — The Truth dropped him and Morrison fought on through a broken jaw and broken hand to break Hipp.

Morrison may not have had the greatest stamina but he also fought on when things weren’t going his way and showed he could rally in later rounds when he had to. It was never a matter of ‘if you stay upright for 8-10 rounds, Tommy will faint and collapse.’ Randall’s one gear wouldn’t tax the Duke enough to get him in that danger zone.

Bang on man. Tommy is always 'in danger', and sometimes bang in trouble here, but wins a clear decision.

    Morrison (brawler/mover) 6'2, 76' reach, 226 lbs vs Cobb (brawler) 6'3, 75' reach, 234 lbs.

    Power Morrison
    Hand speed Morrison
    Chin Cobb
    Footwork Morrison
    Stamina Cobb
    Technique Morrison
    Experience even
    Ring IQ Morrison
    Combinations Cobb
    Defense both were terrible
    Versatility Morrison
    Heart Cobb

    6-2-4 advantage Morrison

Although Morrison has several clear and obvious advantages, this is a dangerous fight for him. His poor gas tank, combined with his terrible defense and Cobb's granite chin, means he could blow an early lead and end up losing similar to the Mercer fight.

On the other hand, Morrison could show up in great shape like he did against Foreman and boxes Cobb's head off. There's many ways this can go, but more often than not I think Morrison pulls it off wit extreme effort. Likely a Morrison UD win 7 rounds to 5, with both guys badly hurt and gasping for air at the end.

This would actually be dangerous fight for the Duke. Tex had an even better chin than Mercer. Lol! So it’s not hard to envision Tommy just teeing off with bombs because Tex would be there for them most of the time. Then Tex piling on the pressure late. MAYBE Tommy has the power to stop Tex. Because Duke could crack. But it’s a dangerous one.

60/40 in Tommy’s favor. I can also envision Morrison piling up enough points early on then lasting to the final bell getting out of trouble. He did have heart. So did Tex.
