Cos A.J is paper Olympic " gold medalist " in eyes of xxxxxxxxx posters in internet and this does not matters?

U really think he is the same level gold medalist like even Ward was?:D

U fan kid:nonono with your home town " Olympic Gold medalist " might die here by posting.
A.J was not even Ward or God Help You and stupid ppl here close to DLH level in amateur ranks.
Not alone that he is famous with old opponents in the ring for marquee pro fights.
Damn, he is so cool:ibutt for business, more than Ottke in Germany, far more:nonono:ibutt.

He was still able to outbox his opponents or eventually let his hands go. Klitschko was mentally scared to press the action against most of his opponents but he didn't change his style up against Aj or anything.

If he fought Aj in his prime He'd have better reflexesand would eventually have the heart at some point in the fight to get a gasaed Aj out if there if he had Emmanuel Steward yelling in his ear. Also he would not beat any version of Povetkin. He was noticeably regressing leading up to the Aj fight. If a 39 year old Povetkin rocked Aj and forced him to be defensive i reckon prime Povetkin would be the favorite.

Well I’ve already said why I think AJ has a good chance of beating prime Wlad a bunch of times on this forum and I’m done explaining that, but just cause Povetkin had one good moment doesn’t mean he’d beat AJ. Joshua has a shaky chin, he just gets shook sometimes, he’s on a whole different level than prime Povetkin

A whole different level you say ? Nah because it's arguable that Povetkin was ahead on the scorecards before the stoppage. He's not even on a whole different level compared to the old version. Aj has a better resume but that does not make him better, it's just that Povetkin was in his prime during the Klitschko era and we all know it was a weak one

Povetkin was clearly not the same as he was in his prime at 39 years of age. He looked very mediocre against David Price. His timing sucked, and he lost a bit of speed. If a grandfather Povetkin forced Aj to play chess it's logical to say Aj would be at the very least be going life and death with a significantly superior version of Povetkin

Cant say I see the hype behind Povetkin. If he was worth his salt he would have won more titles and beaten more champions and top 10 guys. Don’t even see how he even compares to AJ who is still making his legacy.

I’d honestly just pick any version of AJ to stop him

Even though he struggled heavily with an old significantly inferior version. Ok

Legacy and H2H are different. Just because Aj has a better resume doesn't automatically mean he'd beat prime Povetkin because we literally saw him struggle immensely with an past it Povetkin. Joshua got rocked and outboxed by a 39 year old, slower Povetkin. It wasn't one good moment. Grandpa Povetkin was literally outboxing him, it was almost a shut out and he more likely than not would have found that vulnerable chin due to his better speed and headmovment at his peak. Prime Povetkin fought in a weak heavyweight era and fought alongside prime Wlad, Anthony Joshua wouldn't pick up any belts in that era either because just like Povetkin, he wouldn't beat a prime Wladimir Klitschko.

Anthony Joshua's resume is better than Vitali Klitschko's, does that mean he would beat prime Vitali Klitschko ?

Tougher fight for Joshua, he really struggled with Povetkin even past prime, I could see Povetkin winning putting a level of pressure on Joshua he wasn't able too when they did fight when past prime.

But then again Joshua has that game changing power and ability to finish clinically which has turned fights his way suddenly on more than one occasion. He has a punchers chance but he could also out box Povetkin behind the jab too, so he has more than one way too win. Which for me might be why he does win prime for prime but it might be a battle of swings in momentum and grueling for both.

I don't think there's much separating them when both are at their best.

Povetkin's resume isn't stellar but neither is Joshua's.

Povetkin had three losses, one against Klitschko in a wrestling match, one against Joshua as a diminished fighter and in his last fight against Whyte he was shot.

Joshua got TKOed by Ruiz Jr.

But would Joshua have achieved what he has during an era with Vitali and Wlad on top? I don't think so, much like Povetkin he might of picked up a regular or interim title but I don't see him doing what he has in this era in Povetkin's era.

And vice versa what would prime Povetkin done during this era? I could see him beating Martin, beating Parker to be unified champion, maybe old Wlad would be a step too far, but Wilder I see getting KO'ed, Whyte get's KO'ed, Ruiz gets beaten like a pinata.

Yep, I'm more confident than ever that prime Povetkin would blast Joshua's glass chin into smithereens.

Would be a great fight. Two fighters who love to punch in combination who are both vulnerable.

The fight against old Povetkin was pretty good too.
